The evolution of Fandom: 63% of the Gen Z population in the UK agree that they often spend more time watching content that discusses or unpacks something than the thing itself (e.g., movie trailer, new music video, big cultural event). It's something we've observed in the YouTube Sport space for a while, which is that fandom is now a two-way street: Cultures grow as fans react to moments, and interact with IP to grow the pie for sports overall. See our latest YouTube 2024 culture and trends report. Some great insights on how YouTube cultivates and deepens fan culture: https://lnkd.in/e86ehHeC

== How AI will change the format of TV news forever (P2/2) The quantum effect The arrival of quantum computers will add live immediacy to the ubiquity of television reporting (the possibility of covering an entire field of action). The special algorithm of superimpositions and entanglements they require is particularly well-suited to image processing. Computing time is identical for all sizes, and is up to 99% faster than today's computers. The phenomenal acceleration in computing speeds would make it possible to apply these same scenographies to live broadcasts, by integrating an AI stream into the broadcast stream. Viewers could then be able to use the images transmitted during the live show to customize the broadcast: they could choose to view, for example, a president's wishes through a drama, thriller, horror or even fantasy filter. The rules of live broadcasting would continue to be respected. The images would be authentic, only the points of view, angles, focal lengths, shooting values and their alternation would change. Viewers could be able to choose the subjectivity with which they wish to view the information. At present, the information presented represents the editorial line of the broadcast medium. If the viewers are not of the same sensibility, they changes media. This leads them to consult only media of their own sensibility, even if it means accepting fake news if it reinforces their convictions. The possibility of choosing one's own form of subjectivity, paradoxical as it may seem, would lead viewers back towards more neutral and independent information. The main market would be live broadcasts of major sporting events, as the avant-garde vision of the NBA presented in the shared article shows. This way of viewing the news will quickly gain ground, particularly among the Alpha generation accustomed to the immediacy of video sharing (tik-tok, Instagram, etc.). This new form of storytelling will change the way we perceive news forever. It will relegate the current form to the status of silent cinema./. #producer, #director, #film, #series, #film, #movie #screenwriter

𝗚𝗔𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗜𝗦 𝗔 𝗖𝗛𝗜𝗟𝗗𝗜𝗦𝗛 𝗪𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗘 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗜𝗠𝗘! I don't know what my kids are doing in those Virtual Worlds! Are you one of those people that ➡️ Maybe the above statements appeal to you... ➡️ Maybe you're a Parent and have no idea what your kids are doing in the Virtual World? ➡️ Maybe ou're someone who just doesn't understand why people waster their time on 'Childish' activities? ➡️ Maybe you never understood the appeal of Games like World of Warcraft... Well if so, this Documentary is for you. I've been an avid Gamer my entire life. Gaming has brought me much, and like Elon Musk and Joe Rogan pointed out in their recent podcast, Gaming actually has some pretty incredible effects on the brain and skills of said gamers. Surgeons who game perform up to 30% better in motor acuity in surgery. Better hope your surgeon is a gamer...| 𝘏𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳, this documentary is not about the benefits of gaming for the brain. This is about much more... When I went to University, looking back, I now know I hit my first real depression in my first year, resulting from my cyclothymic neuro-divergence. (Mild bi-polar + mild ADHD) World of Warcraft was there for me, Gaming and my gaming friends and community were there for me... although eventually they brought their own social challenges, it was an essential part of my life. Ibelin's story is tragic and beautiful, and it shows the extraordinary and complex lives that take place in virtual worlds and how they touch and influence the real world. These realities are as real as our own, even if they are different. Lives in video games are not "Childish" as is often thought. Lately, I have been seeing reels of women declaring how useless and childish they consider it when Men game. They have no idea... -------------------- 👍 If you find value in today's content, leave a like and a comment to help the Algorithm show it to more people! 🌊 𝐅𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰 me for the contrarian, crazy, but realistic view on the Future of Humanity & Technology ➡️ linktr.ee/itsmrmetaverse 🤖

Today's article talks about a generative model I was using pretty frequently these past few days, AnimateDiff-Lightning by ByteDance. I find the approach that they used quite unique to other Text-Video Generation approaches. Hopefully you find it useful!
