A full day of training and eating for a hybrid athlete who was* living in Bali… The updated version is coming soon! I keep my food selection basic, convenient and tasty! Tasty is the most important. That doesn’t mean my day is filled with processed sugar. And tasty shouldn’t mean that for either. It’s easy to get caught up in the dopamine hit from the sugar, especially this time of year! But have some restraint. The 80/20 rule is excellent. And eating to 80% full is another favourite of mine. If you live by these food rules, you’ll have balance, which is the most important thing for longevity with your ‘diet’. What would you like to see next? How I fuel my runs or gym-based workouts? How To Go About Double Training Days 🏋️♂️ As you edge closer to your event it maybe worthwhile that some days require multiple sessions One thing I would say is firstly prioritise the session that is most aligned with the goal of your event 🤔 For example if you are training for your first marathon then make sure the focus is on your running sessions first 🫡 I would always aim for 4-6 hours rest in-between each session 2-3 Litres of water and hydration across the day 💧 And also ensure nutrition is on point throughout the day so you are well fuelled for both workouts 🥗 Include these into your double training days and you are giving yourself the best chance of optimising performance 🚀
