A brilliant piece on shifting our perspective from #MMC to #IndustrialisedConstruction, taken from our AtkinsRéalis UK & Ireland Construction Intelligence Report for Q2 2024. Industrialised construction is a more holistic approach for programme delivery setting the scene for real transformational change. My colleague Ron Lang states that "by embracing a broader industrial construction agenda, we can focus on creating the conditions for more productive technologies and processes to thrive." great article Ron Lang - I think your comment on IC offering a more helpful starting point is key. Sometimes we start new ideas in a space rooted in old thinking, which is just too constraining.

7moGreat piece Ron, I think the Catalyst for change is happening, slowly but steadily, I presented an affordable housing strategy yesterday at British Aerospace BAWA Expo, people are starting to get it, 5 years ago I would have been talking to myself as I often did, but over the last 3yrs people are starting to understand how proven methods within existing industrialised economies can transfer over into the built environment, I’ve learned how to engage on their level and meeting and discussing with Buisness leaders they better understand how they can contribute to a more connected delivery. I had hundreds of positive conversations and I believe the connection between affordable housing and new Buisness opportunities need to be encouraged. I think Steve Nesbitt, understands my thinking. I’ll ask him to explain at some point.
