NOW MORE THAN EVER Is the perfect time to align your vision with actionable business goals. Setting well-defined objectives ensures that your team starts 2025 with clarity, focus, and motivation to achieve meaningful outcomes. Here’s how you can set measurable and achievable goals: Steps to Define Your Goals: 1️⃣ Reflect on the Big Picture: What’s your burning desire for your business? Identify the deeper “why” behind your goals to create an emotional connection that keeps you motivated even when challenges arise. 2️⃣ Ask the Right Questions: Begin with questions like, What do we want to achieve? and What resources do we need? This diagnostic approach sets a strong foundation for realistic planning. 3️⃣ Make Goals SMART: Goals should be Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound. For example, instead of saying, “Increase revenue,” aim for, “Achieve a 20% increase in revenue by Q4 through new product launches.” 4️⃣ Prioritize and Delegate: Outline your key priorities and assign clear responsibilities to your team. This creates accountability and drives collaboration. 5️⃣ Monitor and Adapt: Use tools like the PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act) cycle to review progress and make necessary adjustments throughout the year. Agile planning helps your business stay responsive to change. The Payoff: Strategic goal-setting ensures your business operates with purpose and direction. It enables better resource allocation, stronger team alignment, and the ability to adapt swiftly in today’s fast-paced environment. Prepare for a year of progress, innovation, and impact! What’s the first goal you’re setting for your business? #BusinessGoals #StrategicPlanning #NewYearGoals #Leadership #Innovation #teratechcompany #Tera-TechLtd #BusinessGrowth #GoalSetting

What happens when parts of your business adopt a very different way of working? With different rhythms and conflicting approaches? Picture this: In ONE organisation, some teams are using agile, self-organising methods. Others still work in more traditional, hierarchical structures. These approaches aren't just different—they're often competing. This creates friction that undermines the organisation's potential. The early adopters of new working methods face unique challenges. They're exploring uncharted territories. Their quarterly, adaptive approach clashes with annual processes, like budgeting and performance. Traditional units still use familiar waterfall methods. This may limit early adopters. But here's the key insight: both approaches are part of the same ecosystem. Their success depends on a shared purpose and teamwork, not conflict. I call this the agility paradox. As a change leader, you hold the key to bridging these divides. Your leadership can transform these competing approaches into a unified, powerful force. Here are 3 concrete steps to start breaking down organisational silos: 1. 𝐌𝐚𝐩 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐩𝐞: Assess how different teams operate. Identify gaps in communication, processes, and goal alignment. 2. 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬-𝐅𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐮e: Hold regular forums for teams to share their views and challenges. This will foster mutual understanding. 3. 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩 𝐀𝐝𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞: Create flexible processes and metrics. They should accommodate both traditional and agile methods. This will integrate the organisation better. What strategies would you add to unify the organisation to 𝐀𝐜𝐭 𝐚𝐬 𝐎𝐍𝐄? Share your thoughts in the comments. 𝗜𝘀 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗔𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗴𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀? Alignment between your team’s values and the business vision is essential. Do you have too many objectives and projects in your business? And none of them really moves? Make a list of all your projects and objectives you are working on, Make a split between "Strategic" and "Business As Usual" Often I see a disequilibrium: almost no Strategic or no BAU. Then I hear the excuse that people do not have time for one or the other. But improvements on BAU often let you create time for Strategic. You know how much 10 min per day is in a year? 10min * 5 days/week * 48 weeks = 2400 min which is 1 week! Just make sure it is not immediately filled with expanding processes, but consolidated and used for further improvements on BAU or Strategic goals. But the easiest gain is stopping the pet-projects both in BAU and Strategic. Take your two lists from above. Add to each line: (1 is best) • judge if easy to do and score 1,2,3. (a project that has to wait for another always gets a score higher than the one it is waiting for) • then score if it supports your agile strategy, either by developing strategic objectives or creating time to do improvements: again 1,2,3 Review the list. Stop all 3-3's immediately and maybe even all 2-3's and 3-2's Rank all and consider your available capacity. Then balance "Strategic" and "Business As Usual" and make sure people start working on the stuff you need and stop working on the stuff they like but you don't need. PS I all starts with your agile strategy and I am organising a MiniMastMind on this subject for max 10 people in december: https://lnkd.in/etZErmQB

🚀 The Balancing Act: Short-Term Wins vs. Long-Term Vision 🚀 As C-level executives, you may often find yourselves at the crossroads of managing immediate needs and nurturing future growth. This balancing act is not just a challenge but an art form. 🎨 Common Misconceptions: ❌ Short-term focus means neglecting long-term goals: Not necessarily! Immediate wins are crucial for momentum and stakeholder confidence. However, they should not overshadow the strategic vision. ❌ Long-term planning is only about big picture dreaming: While having a visionary outlook is essential, it must be backed by actionable steps and milestones to ensure progress and adaptability. Strategies for Mastering the Balance: Dual-Track Planning: Create parallel paths for short-term initiatives and long-term objectives. This way, you can achieve quick wins while steadily progressing towards your strategic goals. Agile Frameworks: Adopt agile methodologies to stay flexible. This allows for quick pivots and adjustments, ensuring both immediate and future needs are met effectively. Continuous Communication: Foster an open dialogue within your team and stakeholders. Regular updates and feedback loops ensure everyone is aligned and can see the big picture while celebrating small victories. KPIs and OKRs: Implement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for short-term metrics and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) for long-term goals. This dual focus helps maintain a balanced approach to performance and growth. Invest in Innovation: Allocate resources not just for current projects but also for R&D and future initiatives. Innovation is the bridge between today's successes and tomorrow's breakthroughs. Balancing short and long-term goals is a dynamic challenge, but with the right strategies, it transforms into an opportunity for sustainable growth and lasting impact.
