Your triggers are part of your healing path. The truth about our triggers is that they’re wise messengers from our subconscious, inviting us to turn inward toward the parts of us that need healing. When we ignore or repress them, we fail to hear the true message. And then our inner self will send louder and louder messages to try to get our attention. Our triggers will become more and more attention-grabbing (and more and more uncomfortable to live with.) I call this “emotional whack-a-mole”. If we just try to “whack” down one trigger (without hearing it’s true message), another trigger will soon pop up. This will continue until we can dive deep enough to heal the roots of our triggers. In daily life, we experience countless emotions shaped by our surroundings and our inner capacity to respond. Learning to navigate these feelings helps us grow. Do Acknowledge: Recognize each feeling as it arises. Allow: Give yourself permission to feel without judgment. Accept: Embrace emotions, both positive and negative. Express: Find healthy ways to express emotions (journaling, talking, art). Release: Let emotions pass naturally without holding on. Don’t Suppress: Avoid pushing emotions down or ignoring them. Judge: Don’t label emotions as “good” or “bad.” Overanalyse: Resist the urge to dissect every feeling. Cling: Don’t hold on to emotions longer than they need to stay. Project: Avoid letting emotions drive reactions toward others unnecessarily. Venting does not reduce anger, but reflection can do so. We have a lot of metaphors rooted in a wrong conception of our emotions, such as "letting off steam." Maybe developing new metaphors and ways of speaking about and seeing our emotions is also part of the solution. The idea of "reflecting on emotions" after all is another metaphorical way of speaking about the process of gaining perspective on emotions. https://lnkd.in/gjn4XDfH

What is holding you back? Pain is always a signal, a message, and a guide. It can be physical or mental, emotional, or all of the above. It can be loud and come on suddenly or a whisper that has been trying to speak to you for a while. Sometimes the whisper can become louder if not addressed. After becoming severely injured through my egotistical competitive endeavors, I have been on a journey of UNDOING, UNBLOCKING, and RE-LEARNING both on the physical side of things and the mental and emotional side. I am uncovering the gaps and learning the antidotes to bridge those gaps so I can live my life in FULL THROTTLE and show up as the most authentic and powerful version of myself so I can be a secure base for the people around me. I am looking for others on the same journey, and looking to listen more closely to what their body is telling them. Call it healing or metamorphosis, It is a deep dive into creating connections between the inner and outer worlds of the self, both in structure and function so we can remove the blockages rather than keep trying to build around them. This requires unbinding and releasing our egos, slowing down, and feeling what is going on inside in the present moment. It also requires the willingness to sit in discomfort and to take small action steps into the discomfort without expectation or certainty of results. It isn't about wanting things to be different... or becoming a better version of yourself. it is about learning to be happy with the way things are right now and learning to navigate the physical and mental limitations to peace, contentment and joy in the present moment, as you are.
