It's a milestone day as we celebrate 900 followers on this page!
The support we have received from the community, especially as we post more frequently, has been off the charts.
Please consider supporting us further through our Patreon page.
Why? Well, let me try to drill it down further rather than just tell you surface-level data and reasonings.
As a longtime #OrlandoTech observer, it has become second nature to know how and where to dig into stories so that they make the biggest impact possible.
One thing that I believe everyone agrees upon is that a growing tech ecosystem's story needs to be told to continue to grow.
The wins.
The struggles.
The contextualized news.
That's what we try to do at OTN.
Don't get me wrong: we fail at times but we will not stop trying.
Beyond that, however, is that Orlando has become something of a potential leader in tech.
Yes, we already have outlets in town like OBJ, The Orlando Life and various other blogs. But our story is deep enough for another outlet, especially one helmed by someone with more institutional knowledge of the community than any other #media outlet.
This is not shade. It's an acknowledgment of storytelling's worth as a community grows.
Miami and Tampa have their tech news outlets.
I do believe we are one piece of the storytelling puzzle that provides value, especially at less than $10/month (check the Patreon).
A special thank you to Rupert Meghnot and the folks at Orlandopreneur, Jon Gress and Tyler Reinholt for their continuous and unwavering support. It means a lot.
To go a little bit deeper and further into value, I do believe telling our story goes a long way toward creating an environment that keeps its workforce rather than watches it scatter across the country.
So consider this my PBS-style pledge drive. I won't do posts like this often but occasionally it's something that must be done to keep this site thriving but, more importantly, keep it growing and able to let everyone out there know that there are some great companies and initiatives being built around tech in Orlando and Central Florida.
Sponsorships also available.
As for OTN, looking at early March data and we are on pace to have yet another big month in terms of traffic and it's only onward and upward from here.
February was the fourth-best month since we launched our data in August of 2021, and that was in 29 days. It was by far the best February and this month, believe it or not, is already the best March we have had thus far.
Anyway, I know the algorithm will punish me because, well, it's an overlord that doesn't want you to leave but here is the link to our Patreon: https://lnkd.in/eiyxVbYv.
