🎨 The blend of artificial intelligence and art is sparking debates and excitement across the art world. As AI reshapes creativity, from generating images to enhancing designs, it brings with it concerns about originality and the impact on human creativity. 🖌️ As someone who values both art and innovation, I'm intrigued by this new landscape. While worries about intellectual property and the authenticity of creativity are valid, I'm optimistic about AI's role as a creative partner. Projects that use AI responsibly, like Refik Anadol's work, highlight how technology can complement human artistry, pushing boundaries and exploring new possibilities. What do you think are the most exciting opportunities that AI presents for artists and the future of creative technology? Let's discuss in the comments 👇 #AIinArt #CreativeTechnology

AI Brings Classic Art to Life🎨✨ AI is revolutionizing how we experience art. Static paintings are being transformed into dynamic narratives, offering us a new way to immerse ourselves in the world of the artist. However, this exciting development raises important questions. Do these animations accurately reflect the original intent of the artist? Can they enhance our understanding of the artwork, or do they risk imposing modern perspectives on historical pieces? While there's no doubt that this technology can make art more engaging and accessible to a wider audience, it's essential to strike a balance between innovation and preserving the artistic vision of the past. What are your thoughts on this exciting yet complex issue? #AIart #classicart #technology #artpreservation #AI #generativeAI #deeplearning #machinelearning

Is art safe from AI? Or can we call the combination of human art and AI generated "art" - a new form of art? Here's an example. Last night I saw a theater play about Marlene Dietrich. The piece swiped me off my feet, though I couldn't help but notice one small detail. Now, combining the play with additional digital resources like short films that run in the background is not new. However, playing AI generated images in the background was new for me. I have to admit, the images were neat and I didn't spot any material errors, such as a person having 8 fingers or something. They were done so well that a person not familiar with AI probably couldn't tell the difference, especially since the characters were consistent, but I've seen my share of AI-generated photos, so I was able to recognize them. While these images added an extra value to the play, I was at times too focused on analyzing them and thinking about the benefits (or drawbacks) of AI for theater art. Somehow, it felt out of place. What are your thoughts on this? Do you think AI has its place in theater art?

I really want to share this interesting article “Bias against AI Art Can Enhance Perceptions of Human Creativity” with all of you!! Through six experiments, the researchers found that people tend to devalue AI-made art compared to human-made art, even when they are indistinguishable. This bias persists even when the actual content of the art remains unchanged. The study suggests that this prejudice against AI-produced art may inadvertently elevate the perceived value of human creativity. As the famous American painter James Whistler once said, “An artist is not paid for his labor but for his vision”. When we assume a piece of art is human-made, we may subconsciously attribute to it a depth of vision and a unique interpretive framework, seeing it as an extension of a human perspective on the world. This aligns with Whistler's notion: we value art not merely for its form but for the perceived insight and emotional intent of the creator. In contrast, AI, seen as devoid of subjective experience, is often viewed as producing art through “labor” alone—complex algorithms rather than a guiding “vision.” This perception gap explains why AI art, regardless of technical quality, may feel less impactful or valuable to viewers. While AI can replicate artistic labor, it may never achieve the perceived “vision” we associate with human creativity. In the future, will we fully admit the artistic works created by AI are true art? https://lnkd.in/gQX4mEmk #genaiandhumanities

Would you trust AI to authenticate an artwork? 🖼️ The article by George Nelson discusses the role of #AI in #art #authentication and the skepticism it faces from traditional experts. Carina Popovici, CEO of Art Recognition, promotes AI’s efficiency in verifying #artworks through photos, claiming it’s faster and cheaper than traditional methods involving human experts and lengthy shipping times. Hephaestus Analytical, another AI-focused firm, combines AI with scientific tests and expert knowledge to address the high incidence of forgeries, especially in Russian avant-garde art. Founder Denis Moiseev believes AI can enhance authenticity checks but notes the art market’s resistance to adopting these technologies. While auction houses like Sotheby's and Christie's are exploring AI, they highlight the ongoing importance of human expertise. Nicholas Eastaugh of Vasarik Ltd sees AI as a complementary tool rather than a replacement for human judgment. Experts like Simon Gillespie argue that human skills remain essential in authentication. Both Art Recognition and Hephaestus emphasize that AI should be used alongside traditional methods and scientific validation. Despite AI’s potential, its full acceptance is limited by skepticism and the need for expert input. What are your thoughts on this? 💬 #myCulture #CultTech #AIandArt

Is AI the new muse for artists, or a threat to authentic creativity? Last week, I found myself in an interesting debate with a fellow artist about AI's role in our creative process. As I listened to their concerns, I realized how this technological revolution is reshaping our artistic landscape. AI isn't here to replace us - it's here to challenge and inspire us. It's a powerful tool that can push our creative boundaries, much like how the camera once revolutionized painting. But here's the real question: How do we harness AI's potential without losing the human touch that makes art truly resonate? Consider Anna Ridler's "Mosaic Virus" project. She used AI to generate tulip images but maintained artistic control through curation and presentation. A perfect blend of human vision and AI capability. Have a look for yourself what she achieved using AI: https://lnkd.in/efGRb5FU I believe the key lies in viewing AI as a collaborator rather than a competitor. By embracing it as part of our toolkit, we can explore new realms of creativity while maintaining our unique artistic voice. What's your take on this? How do you see AI fitting into your creative process? Let's discuss in the comments! (And oh, drop some links to your AI creations and let's discover how you've collaborated with it. 😉 ) #creativity #machinelearning #ai #creator #artist

The rise of #AI in creative fields, including art, has sparked significant debate among artists. While AI can be very #creative but still it has a lot to answer: ©️Copyright and Ownership: AI systems are trained on large datasets, often including copyrighted works of living artists. 📚Devaluation of Human Creativity: AI can now create visually stunning pieces in a fraction of the time it would take a human artist. This leads to concerns that AI-generated art might diminish the value of human-made art, as people may prioritize speed and cost over originality and craftsmanship. 🎨 Artist Replacement: With the efficiency and accessibility of AI tools, there's a fear that artists, especially in commercial fields like graphic design or illustration, may lose work to AI systems that can deliver cheaper and faster solutions. ⚖️Ethical Concerns: Some artists worry that AI-generated art may lack the depth, emotional connection, and unique personal expression that human artists bring to their work. 👨⚖️Lack of Accountability: Unlike human artists, AI lacks intent or moral responsibility. If AI-generated art contains offensive or harmful content, it can be challenging to hold anyone accountable. It's important to strike a balance between technology and human creativity - "Human with AI". #AI #GenAI #GenerativeAI #AIArt #AIVideo #ArtificialIntellgence Javier Adrian Lopez Ralph Aboujaoude Diaz Pascal BORNET Ibrar Ulhaq
