So, this is my personal view. Not representing anyone with it. I think OTC could be sold in shops in small Estonian towns without grave consequences. However, there should be limitation - it should be possible to sell only 1 product from one ATC group at the same time. Only one brand and pack size of paracetamol (N20 or smaller! Limit per purchase - 1), only one oral NSAID (either Ibumetin, Ibumax, Dolmen, Nalgesin, Voltaren etc. Just one.) Only one product with pseudoephedrine (actually I am totally not sure about this active substance; probably this would not be let into shops, otherwise we would have the movie plot of Spun all over the place, followed by OTC-to-Rx switch as happened for misuse of Co-Codamol and Solpadeine). No combination products, ever (customers are totally uncapable of recognizing active substances in Latin - this is understandable for pharmacists only). Only one nasal spray with xylometazolin (or oxymetazolin). Topical NSAID cremes are low risk. Eye drops are mostly medicinal devices - could be sold in shops also now. Vitamins and minerals and "novel" herbal products - classified as Food supplements, could be sold in shops also now. If I would be a retail manager of Coop or Rimi, I would select the most popular brands (Ibumetin, Diclac, Paracetamol-Grindeks, ASA-Grindeks). And would buy these in enormous amounts in Baltic packs to get discount. This would have an effect on price and people would get their products more easily. (Another thing entirely would be how this would affect the variety of similar products available on Estonian market at all.) Should Coop or Rimi co-own pharmacies (with pharmacists, as set by the law, with pharmacist having the majority of votes when deciding sth). Sure. Amazon will disrupt the market within 5 years for sure. Current franchises are underfunded to fight this and will eventually die out, in case mark-ups are not updated soon. And as I can see - state has no interest in preserving the status quo nor glorifying or even valuing the position of the pharmacist in any way.

Our company mainly fulfils foreign orders, but products made by us can also be seen in Slovakia, Csallóköz (Rye Island) and even in Gúta. The things we make must not only be durable and of good quality, but also attractive, because what we produce is seen many times and by many people. – said the company manager, Attila Pálfy, who also spoke about the fact that they deal with locksmith work, welding and laser cutting of sheet metal and tubes, but railing manufacturing has been their number one profile for some time. We are constantly looking for new technologies and developments that can further increase the quality of our products, the efficiency of production, and the working conditions of our employees. I believe that if someone can work in the right place, among good people, on good terms, this is positively reflected in their performance, and negligence cannot be allowed in our country, with a scrappy price. A good example of how family-friendly we are is that there are families from Gúta whose third generation is already working for our company, and there are also those who started their career at our company and still work for us today, there are also many who have been working for us for more than 20 years, or even retired from us after 25-30 years of faithfully working for us – They persevered with us, not only when things were going well, but also when we ran into difficulties. – said the entrepreneur, who also told our newspaper that at Gukom we consider it important to train the next generations as well. I hope that we can serve the city for a long time, give many people from Gúta (Kolárovo)a livelihood and a future, and we can continue to be so successful, and then we can provide our support for many sports clubs of the city or representatives of Hungarian culture, such as the judo club of Gúta, the handball club or even the Jókai Theatre in Komárom – concluded Attila Pálfy. WARNING (Do not?) visit Finland ! Me and fellow wilderness guides who know about the alarming state of the Finnish lakes, mires and forests, have always been wondering about Business Finland idea to promote & support "typical" international tourism, usually envolving airtravel and impactful activities, accomondation and diets. At least #VisitFinland had an (extremely easy to get) "sustainable tourism" label, and many of the awarded companies even have genuine ambitions. SUSTAINABLE TOURISM ONLY IF POSSIBLE The recent cuts to the operations of Visit Finland resulted not only in 11 people loosing their jobs, it also means that the priority has been reduced to promoting international tourism and marketing #Finland as a travel destination, while establishing #SustainableTourism practices moved to "if possible". It seems that the desk-bound folks at #BusinessFinland (and those responsible for the funding cuts and prioritization decision) understand that "we nature" can only justify tourism if it is (really!) sustainable. Until this is changing, I simply won't recommend anyone to visit Finland, even though a lot of my customers come from abroad. At the same time Finnish tourists spend more time and money abroad than what international tourist spend in Finland.
