Happy Holidays! If you're Christian, I encourage you to dig deeper into your faith and really learn what it means to be a Christian. Start with the lambs the shepherds were guarding outside of Bethlehem. Understanding those particular sheep will fundamentally change your understanding of your faith. If you're Jewish, remind people what it it celebrates--that it's about regaining Jerusalem and rededicating the temple. Let folks know it's about home and remembering one's place in this crowded world. And maybe explain dreidels to share some of the joy of how you celebrate the season. If you observe Kwanza, highlight the holiday's focus on unity and celebration of African values and culture. If you really want to blow their socks off, invite them to take part in your Karamu dinner. And all you Neo-pagans who celebrate the ancient holidays predating most of the contemporary ones, pick a day, pick a festival, and have your friends over. As many people as there are in this world there are holiday traditions, celebrations, and observations. Keep and treasure yours. Honor theirs. Most important, though: Remember your fellow humans and just human better. That's how we have peace on Earth. That's how we can truly have a happy holiday. So from my family to yours, Happy Christmahanukwansoltifestivalia. See you in the new year!

Rediscovering the True Meaning of Christmas As the Christmas season approaches, getting caught up in the hustle and bustle of shopping, decorating, and planning festive gatherings is easy. While these activities can bring joy, it's important to remember the true meaning of Christmas: the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Christmas is a celebration of the greatest gift ever given—Jesus Christ. This incredible gift of love and salvation is the heart of Christmas. In a world that often emphasizes materialism, it's easy to feel pressured to overspend on gifts and decorations. However, the true spirit of Christmas is found in simplicity and gratitude. Reflecting on the humble birth of Jesus in a manger, we are reminded that the most profound blessings are not found in material possessions but in the love and grace of God. Instead of focusing on extravagant spending, consider ways to celebrate that honor the true meaning of Christmas. Spend quality time with loved ones, share the story of Jesus' birth, and extend kindness to those in need. Service and generosity can bring more joy and fulfillment than any store-bought gift. Remember, to many people—your family, your team, and this world—you are a gift and a blessing. Your time and support are truly invaluable. #TrueMeaningOfChristmas #HolidayGratitude #ChristmasReflection #JesusIsTheReason #YouAreValuable #PricelessSupport #PositiveImpact

Perception is a choice. We all have reasons to believe anything. As we celebrate Easter, let us reflect on what this holiday means to us. For some, it's a time to make Easter eggs and baskets, attend a beautiful Sunday church service, and enjoy time with loved ones. Whatever your beliefs, it's important to challenge them and verify their meaning. Les Strobel's book, The Case for Christ, is a fantastic example of challenging beliefs and finding evidence for what you may not want to believe. As we celebrate this holiday, let us remember the commitment of one human and spiritual man who taught us what sacrifice, love, and obedience look like. Let us all have a wonderful Easter holiday celebrating what this day means to us. And as we do, let us consider other perspectives that may add value as well. #celebrate #love #perspective

The Meaning of Christmas: Elevating the Ordinary Christmas is more than lights, gifts, and festivities; it’s a profound story of giving meaning to the overlooked and ordinary. The humble town of Bethlehem, as prophesied by Isaiah, exemplifies this truth: “Though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel” (Micah 5:2). A small, seemingly insignificant place becomes the birthplace of the Messiah, reflecting God’s pattern of elevating the ordinary. The stable and manger—the unlikeliest of settings—became symbols of divine purpose. Shepherds, lowly in societal status, were the first to hear the heavenly announcement of Christ's birth. These choices remind us that true worth isn’t in appearances or status but in purpose and transformation. As we celebrate Christmas, let’s reflect on its core lesson: to recognize the value in people and things often overlooked. In our giving, let’s go beyond material gifts and affirm the dignity of those around us. Just as God brought light to Bethlehem, we too can bring light to others through love and compassion. May this season inspire us to elevate the ordinary and embrace the extraordinary meaning of Christmas.

Christmas is a time rich with tradition, reflection, and connection. Beyond the festivities, it's often a period for people to come together, share joy, and remember the values of generosity, compassion, and peace. While the holiday is celebrated in various ways across cultures, its deeper meaning often revolves around love, family, and the spirit of giving. For some, Christmas is rooted in religious observance, marking the birth of Jesus Christ, and is a time for reflection on themes like hope, redemption, and selflessness. For others, it's more secular, a time to embrace traditions, like exchanging gifts or decorating with lights, as symbols of goodwill and warmth. Another powerful aspect of Christmas is the way it encourages acts of kindness—whether through charity, spending time with loved ones, or simply sharing a moment of joy. It can also serve as a reminder to slow down, reflect on the year that’s passed, and make space for gratitude and connection in the midst of busy lives. In a broader sense, Christmas highlights universal themes of renewal and community, encouraging people to come together in meaningful ways, even in a world that can sometimes feel divided.
