This marks a major milestone for our team and a significant step forward for our AI-powered, offline voice-to-voice translation technology. Over the next six months, we’ll collaborate with DIANA’s network of experts, accelerators, and test centers to refine and test our solutions, ensuring they’re ready to address real-world challenges across NATO’s allied nations. Our mission has always been clear: eliminate language barriers in critical situations. With DIANA’s support, we’re taking this mission to the next level—bringing innovative solutions to those who need them most.

The Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) and NSIN are excited with the announcement of the 2025 Cohort of NATO Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic (DIANA) Accelerator Program. The companies, representing 20 NATO countries, will work on developing deep technology solutions in energy and power, sensing and surveillance, secure information sharing, human health and performance, and critical infrastructure and logistics. Companies that have been chosen to participate in the program will receive €100,000 to develop their technology solutions further, receive training and insights from experts in their fields, and opportunities to test and showcase their technology. At QurieGen, our work in single-cell analysis and precision drug discovery is primarily aimed at advancing healthcare. However, we believe that technology capable of mapping cellular responses and predicting outcomes can also contribute to solving challenges in broader domains. Chosen from over 2,600 applicants, this marks a key milestone in our mission to transform air quality and pathogen control globally. At the heart of this achievement is KillViD, powered by our proprietary pulsed-power plasma technology. It eliminates 100% of airborne biological pathogens within air handling systems on the first pass, as validated by INSERM, outperforming every existing solution in efficiency and effectiveness. Scaleout Selected for NATO’s DIANA 2025 cohort Scaleout is honored to join NATO DIANA with the FEDAIR project (Federated Aerial Intelligence for Recon). This project addresses a critical challenge: how to keep machine learning (ML) models accurate and effective in fast-changing environments like conflict zones. Without frequent updates, ML models risk becoming outdated, especially as new threats and conditions emerge. Traditional centralized approaches to training and updating models are often impractical in these environments due to limited connectivity and data sensitivity. FEDAIR solves this by using federated learning, a decentralized approach that updates ML models directly on edge devices—such as drones or field command posts—without transferring sensitive raw data. Only model updates are shared, drastically reducing bandwidth needs and ensuring data security. This approach aligns with NATO’s DIANA information security challenge by emphasizing secure, decentralized data handling in complex and contested environments. I think this project highlights how innovative technology can solve fundamental problems in defense, delivering more resilient and adaptable systems to tackle real-world challenges. 🌌 ThothX Meridian selected for NATO DIANA Accelerator Program 2025!🌌 We are thrilled to announce our selection as one of the 75 pioneering companies chosen for the 2025 NATO DIANA Accelerator Program, out of more than 2,600 applications from across the Alliance. Our application to the DIANA Challenges focused on the theme "Sensors and Surveillance" and showcased Earthfence© radar technology, capable of 24/7 all weather continuous monitoring of satellites and space debris, designed for dual-use applications (commercial and military), which reflects our commitment to space exploration’ security and sustainability. Earthfence© radar is not limited to night visibility and favourable weather conditions, therefore ensuring uninterrupted monitoring capacity. It can detect Resident Space Objects (RSOs) up to 100,000 km away, delivering near real-time metric-scale accuracy with industry-leading latency below 2 minutes and cadence of up to 30 seconds. Moreover, the technology can discriminate objects as close as 60 meters apart, even at distances of 50,000 km. It is a groundbreaking solution based on software-defined hardware with low amplification power, making it highly energy-efficient compared to traditional radars. Its near-undetectable nature to observed targets also renders it inherently resistant to interference, representing a breakthrough in space surveillance. As part of its project, ThothX Meridian plans to deploy the Earthfence© system in collaboration with Altice Portugal, repurposing two decommissioned telecommunications antennas – one located in Alfouvar, mainland Portugal, and another on São Miguel Island, Azores. This initiative not only repurposes existing infrastructure but also strengthens Portugal’s strategic position in the development of sustainable space surveillance capabilities. This effort is part of ThothX’s broader vision for global GEO orbit coverage – where the most significant commercial and defense satellites are located. In addition to the antennas in Portugal, the plan includes installations in Canada (Thoth Technology Inc.) and Australia, ensuring a worldwide network for space monitoring. This incredible 2025 NATO DIANA Accelerator Program opportunity not only highlights the excellence and potential of our technology but also positions us to collaborate with NATO experts and innovators to further develop impactful solutions.
