Absolutely delighted to share the news that Seat Unique has been ranked by Deloitte as the 5th fastest growing tech company in the UK, with our Phillipa Hicks picking up the runner’s up award for Women in Leadership 🏆 🚀 It’s been an incredible journey, but what resonates the most is what this achievement says about how valuable live experiences have become to us all. It is hard to believe that just three years ago we were locked down, isolated, and unable to see many of our loved ones. But in that period of uncertainty, among many other areas of self-reflection, it feels we all came to truly appreciate how much we value human connection. So the surge in demand for live experiences we have witnessed in the post-pandemic world, which this award recognises, feels both natural and meaningful. And in a world now dominated by digital facades and artificial authenticity, consumer’s craving for those real, in-person moments is exponentially growing. It is a privilege to be a part of it, and I believe it is just the start of what will be the strongest multi-year period of growth the live events industry has ever seen. 2024: The year I discovered myself. Deciding who I want to become and where I am heading. I took risk, paused and access where will my fire take me. It was a year of trying everything, saying yes, and failing. When I left my corporate marketing role at KPMG, people wondered why because I genuinely loved working there. But watching my personal career journey with Tinig hoping to support informal family caregivers, I realized some journeys can't be mapped on a corporate ladder—they're charted through human connection. This year was a beautiful chaos of learning and growth: • Co-founded Tinig, giving voice to family caregivers who rarely get recognized • Our Team represented Philippines and Asian Institute of Management and got 2nd place at the Innovation Olympics besting 8 other universities across the globe. • Secured my Innovation Management Level 1 certification, proving that continuous learning fuels entrepreneurial spirit • Led award-winning campaigns at KPMG (back-to-back Anvil Awards - still can't believe it!) • Advanced my Masters in Innovation and Business at AIM, transforming professional knowledge into meaningful impact Three posts that captured my journey: 1. Thriving Thursday: A Day of Strategic Collaborations and Operational Technology Insights Last Thursday marked an exceptional day filled with Operational Technology discussions and strategic workshops with our esteemed partners. The day kicked off with a joint account workshop with Deloitte, where we delved into the intricacies of an Automotive customer’s needs and explored innovative solutions. Many thanks to Chris Fangmann and Thomas Gerwald. As the day progressed, we switched gears and locations to engage with Accenture. Our conversation centered around a customer in the energy technology sector, discussing current challenges and potential opportunities for growth and innovation. Many thanks to Dominik Greubel, Belén Agudo Calvo, Volker Geith. The momentum continued as we collaborated with plat4mation, brainstorming ways to amplify demand generation within our general business. It was a productive session that promised exciting prospects for the future. Many thanks to Dirk Seiffert, Hong-Ling Chi and Anand Van Deventer supported by Claudia Behrens and Sebastian Haußmann. In the spirit of knowledge sharing, we hosted an OT Office Hour, an open forum that allowed for an exchange of ideas and expertise that only serves to strengthen our community. The day culminated with a strategic workshop led by Marie-Astrid Dehoux Hervet.
