The 2024 Fall Giving Challenge demonstrated Swinerton's deep commitment to strengthening local communities. Employee-owners across the nation participated in diverse activities ranging from virtual runs and pickleball tournaments to creating cards for seniors and veterans and constructing bookcases and beds for those in need.
While structured as a friendly competition, the initiative's impact extends beyond Swinerton's walls. Over 1,000 employee-owners contributed over 3,500 volunteer hours and donated $86,000 to 67 charitable organizations. With Swinerton's matching program, total donations will exceed $211,000.
Thank you to all our employees for your incredible efforts. We look forward to next year's challenge!
Raymond James Cares month took place in May. Associates banded together to make a huge impact. So proud to work for a company that gives back in such an intentional way.
Borrowed from an article:
Annually in May, Raymond James associates and advisors around the world team up and give back to the communities where we live and work. In 2024, more than 3,300 volunteers came together to serve over 8,300 hours toward the causes most near and dear to us.
Our collective impact*
3,371 volunteers
8,315 hours
269 charitable organizations
120 communities
88,650 meals served and packed
10,514 pounds of food donated
12,216 in-kind items donated
$544,256 in monetary donations
898 pounds of trash cleaned up
Our roots run deep in volunteerism, and giving back to our communities is a key facet of the firm’s culture. This value is demonstrated by associates year-round, and especially each May.
With nearly 270 charitable organizations supported across 120 communities in 2024, our impact was seen far and wide. Here’s a deeper look at a few of the causes our associates supported, and the resulting effects.

Corporate organizations are in a position to dynamically impact their communities. Huge thank you to Lancaster County Motors, Inc. for their incredible support of Meals on Wheels of Lancaster and our community as a whole!
While you might think that donating funds is the most important part of that impact, there are actually multiple ways corporate organizations truly transform the communities they are in. Here are a few examples:
1. Allow employees to volunteer. Some organizations actually pay employees to volunteer at least 8 hours a year. Others let employees take time off to support volunteering efforts. Some go so far as to coordinate the event and encourage all employees to participate. Find a way that works best for your organization.
2. Bring exposure to community partners. Social media posts and other marketing efforts harness your brand to support community impact.
3. Host community partners at your facility. If you have space, non-profits are often needing locations to host fundraising events and hold meetings. Your space can do good too!
What ways are you using to impact your community?

CCO @Grace & Green | Improving access to sustainable period products | Championing period dignity for all🩸Coaching | Consulting | Mentoring | Founder @Seed to Oak
When I joined Grace & Green in 2022 as Head of Growth, my very first presentation to the Board was about how we took what had been created in Period Dignity and use this to have a much wider impact on both the business and the world of work. How would we make Period Dignity the market leader (with very little money to spend to do so)?
I don't have enough space in this post to work through exactly what I set out in that meeting, however it boiled down to:
✌ Understanding the impact we want to have: It's always been about more than supplying products - Education is woven into the threads of Period Dignity.
To achieve period dignity we need access to information, availability of products and acceptance within workplace culture - we designed our offering and continue to develop everything we do around these pillars. This was summed up perfectly by a client (John) who said "Grace & Green don't just supply a product, they create a CULTURE". Exactly John.
✌ Remember who we are and why we are doing it: Unsurprisingly, the workplace space has and is becoming more competitive. This is excellent news, as more businesses embrace free period care as a basic right, and especially comforting how many are choosing a more sustainable providers. As now Chief Commercial Officer, it's also mildly stressful (mildly 🙃 ).
However, dignity continues to be about more than avoiding getting caught short, it's about embracing inclusivity and supporting our Members to deliver dignity for all, no matter of age, gender identity, or how they experience their period. There's still a long way to go, and we've got SO much more coming here...
✌ Treat every customer like they are absolutely making our day. This is perhaps a small business mindset, or when many of the team have done almost every job in the company. We all remember the THRILL of winning our first big contract, the DELIGHT of walking into a shop and seeing our products on shelf, or randomly walking into the bathroom BEAMING seeing our products. We don't take for granted the fact we get to be in people's everyday.
(For me this has never worn off, my heart still skips a little when I process an order, receive a tender award notice, or see a customer talking about us on socials.)
Particularly grateful for our team for supporting our phenomenal YOY 120% growth, for challenging, pushing our vision and positioning, and for being excellent.
I'm incredibly proud of what we and our members are doing to drive inclusivity, awareness and dignity within their workplaces and educational establishments. I can't wait to see what the next two years can hold.
Happy Birthday Period Dignity. x
Two years of Period Dignity 🎉
It's #WorldMenstrualHygieneDay and we're celebrating two years of making periods dignified and accessible for everyone.
Since launching, our Period Dignity scheme has helped over 400 businesses, schools and public institutions provide sustainable period products to those who need them most.
Together we've:
❋ Supplied 9 million free-to-access sustainable period products
❋ Delivered 9,800+ free period packs to those who need them in partnership with local councils
❋ Stocked 60+ universities and schools with Grace & Green products
❋ Donated £97,000 worth of period products to charitable organisations, including local food banks, in 2023 alone.
Thank you to our community and incredible partners and supporters for making helping us make a difference.
Check out our visits to New Cut Coffee, BIMM University, OVO, Watershed, and Wiper and True. Thank you Honeywell Bakes for our beautiful birthday biscuits.

It's not sexy.
For lots of volunteer committees it can feel like a burden.
For many starting out in the world of volunteer governance it can be quite frightening and overwhelming.
But good governance is so important to ensure the sustainable future of our toy libraries.
It has been super exciting to see all the toy libraries who have pulled on their big kid pants and sorted out their ACNC registration, the passion of our toy library community should never be underestimated.
I am super proud to work for a peak body who provides practical support to enable volunteers to develop their understanding and mastery of good governance.
If we want to bring more good people into the board rooms of Australia maybe we should all be looking to invest more in the good people who are already delivering on good governance right now in volunteer roles right across the country?
Good governance is key to helping toy libraries thrive. We're excited to share that over 85 toy libraries are now registered as charities, thanks to our work with the ACNC. This means they’re better equipped to serve their communities, attract support, and continue bringing joy to families. Strong governance isn’t just about rules—it’s about making a bigger impact together.
A special thank you to our Victoria Member Development Officer, Erin Krusic-Golub, for her incredible work in guiding the latest round of registrations.

As many of you know I represent the Arizona Professional Towing & Recovery Association. This year APTRA is trying something different for a fundraiser online. We have partnered with ZEFFY to assist us in this journey.
Most of you know Towing Associations aren't government, they don't qualify for grants like the other stakeholders do. Not to say that there are grants out there, there are just not necessarily in the arena we play in.
So, they run on volunteers, donations and membership to keep them operating and fund them. Unfortunately, there is not enough of all three. This is not just this association; it is most non-profit associations across the country.
Donations of any amount can assist an association in their day-to-day operations.
What would the donations be used for? operations, advocacy and education & training. As always out Slow Down, Move Over message is at the top of our list.
I would appreciate your help during this giving season with a donation to APTRA.

As I continue training for the Spartan Ultra, I'm constantly inspired by the incredible work of Meals on Wheels of Greenville. Let me share why their mission is so crucial:
*They deliver nutritious meals to seniors and homebound individuals, combating isolation and malnutrition.
*Their service extends beyond humans - they also provide pet food, ensuring beloved companions are cared for too.
*Volunteers offer vital social connection, often being the only human contact some recipients have all day.
We're making progress on our fundraising goal, but we need your help to cross the finish line. We've raised $640 so far, with $360 left to hit our $1,000 target.
Corporate leaders, I challenge you: Can your company match our current donations or pledge the remaining $360? Your contribution could be the game-changer in this race to support our community's most vulnerable.
Individuals, every dollar counts! Your donation, no matter the size, makes a real difference.
Together, we can ensure no one in our community goes hungry or feels forgotten. Let's turn this OCR challenge into a victory for Meals on Wheels!

Two weeks ago, I had the incredible experience of attending Taylor Swift's Eras Tour in Toronto. The energy was electric—thousands of fans singing in unison, creating a shared sense of connection that was both powerful and uplifting. It reminded me how transformative community can be, and how we can carry that same feeling forward by giving back to others.
That’s why #GivingTuesday resonates so deeply. It’s a day to unite through generosity, to create ripples of impact that extend far beyond ourselves. At Aventiv Technologies, I’m proud of the way my colleagues leaned into this spirit of giving, finding meaningful ways to support the communities we serve. When people ask about my favorite part of working at Aventiv Technologies, my answer is always rooted in one word: connection. The power of connection drives everything we do—from building innovative solutions to providing technology that can foster opportunities for upward economic mobility when people return to their communities. And it’s this same spirit of connection that made #GivingTuesday such a standout moment this year.
Moments that spark connection should remind us that we’re all part of something bigger, and the bonds we build through purpose and action are what make a difference. Let’s keep that energy alive—whether it’s on stage, in our workplaces, or out in the world. Because as Taylor Swift said “No matter what happens in life, be good to people. Being good to people is a wonderful legacy to leave behind.” When we collaborate and reimagine connection with each other, the positive impact we create comes back around, lifting us all.

’Tis the season for giving back. 🎁
Earlier this week, #TeamAventiv got together to celebrate #GivingTuesday in a big way. Together, we donated, matched, and granted almost $25,000 in donations to support multiple charitable organizations nationwide.
We are incredibly grateful to our associates for their enthusiasm and generosity in making this effort a success!
