Is affordability worth sacrificing your safety? A recent survey revealed that nearly 1 in 5 homebuyers are willing to trade their physical safety for a more affordable home. This trend is most prevalent among younger generations like Gen Z and millennials. This reality highlights the severe challenges many face in today's housing market. While certain trade-offs, like fewer bedrooms or longer commutes, are common, sacrificing safety is a concerning trend. As a Realtor, my goal is to help you find a home that meets your budget without compromising on essential factors like safety and well-being. Your home should be a sanctuary, not a source of concern. Below is a great article in regards to the residential single-family home market, particularly here in New England. It's very contrarian, but spot on. It gives creedence to what I wrote in my real estate blog back in early January; single-family home prices will not come close to flattening out and the inventory shortage will not get back to normal until at least 2030 If you're waiting for home prices to come in to buy your dream home/luxury home. Don't.
