This annual event organized by Svebio, Svenska Bioenergiföreningen and Bioenergitidningen is a cornerstone for bioenergy industry, bringing together professionals to discuss the latest trends and challenges in cogeneration, district heating and sustainable energy solutions. 𝐖𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐩𝐞 1 𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧… 🟢 From 2018 to 2023 FlowCon International has 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐩𝐞 1 𝐛𝐲 79,6% in absolute values. So, we need to do something about our heating (which currently is natural gas) and employee transportation (sales team is using hybrid cars today). But we are not going to change right away….. Our gas furnace for factory heating is only 4 years old, and it would be senseless and waste of good-working equipment to scrap it already – in total contradiction to FlowCon's desire to reduce. But we will investigate supplementing this heat source with electrical heat pumps and converting hybrid cars into purely electrical cars when time for replacement. It is also worth to mention that Scope 1 emissions have reduced by 1,5% from 2022 to 2023, even though the Danish winter 2022/23 was a bit colder than the winter before. 🟢 Fortunately, from 2018 to 2023 FlowCon has reduced Scope 2 by 23,6% (absolute values). 🟢 And Scope 3 emissions in the same period has only increase by 25% (relative values) which are significantly below FlowCon’s growth rate.
