Yesterday I enjoyed answering calls from customers, and it was a great reminder of what truly drives their decisions. Customers who call often engage in conversation and share how they found Ava Innes in their search for a UK-based manufacturer specialising in natural, sustainable bedding with products that align with their values while seeking a healthy sleep experience. What stood out most was their growing awareness of what contributes to better sleep. Many are choosing to move away from traditional feathers and down, seeking alternatives such as our cashmere guard hair and wool which is better for temperature regulation particularly when two share a bed. These conversations underscore the importance of understanding our customers' needs and priorities, not just as consumers but as individuals looking for comfort while balancing provenance, quality and sustainability concerns. Hearing directly from our customers reaffirms why we do what we do. It’s reassuring to know that our commitment to quality, natural materials, and UK craftsmanship is important to many. Receiving reviews post purchase confirms that taking time to listen to customers is important too. #bettersleep #customerfocus #madeinUK

Did you know today is #NationalRelaxationDay? It got me thinking about how what we wear can potentially reduce stress… ➡️ Comfort = confidence: When your clothes fit well and feel good, your comfort translates directly into confidence. This ease can reduce anxiety and increase your focus and efficiency throughout the day. ➡️ Ease of choice: A well-organized closet with pieces you can mix and match easily will simplify your morning routine, decrease decision fatigue, and start your day with a relaxed mindset. ➡️ Always having the appropriate attire: Knowing that you have what you need and can always dress appropriately for any situation alleviates worries about being under or overdressed, which can be a subtle yet significant source of stress. ➡️ Fabric choices: Opting for breathable, natural fabrics like cotton, linen, and wool can keep you comfortable and relaxed, physically supporting your body’s ability to manage stress. ➡️ Colors and moods: Incorporating calming colors like blues, greens, and earth tones into your wardrobe can have a soothing effect on your mood and help maintain a relaxed state of mind. When you really start to pay attention to what you wear and how it affects your mood and stress level, you’ll notice a correlation. ___ Share some of your strategies for relaxing in the comments. 👇 Also, make sure you’re following me for more daily insights.

One of the most common questions we get is: “Why not 100% cotton?” Here’s the thing: cotton is classic, breathable, and soft. But for movement—whether it’s commuting, working out, or simply staying active throughout the day—LyoCell (TENCEL™) and Modal make all the difference. Here’s why: Cotton: Great for lounging, but it holds moisture and loses shape during extended wear. LyoCell: Silky-smooth, moisture-wicking, and quick-drying, keeping you fresh and supported no matter how much you move. Modal: Silk-like softness and breathability with natural moisture-wicking properties that elevate comfort throughout the day. At House of Harry George, we blend the best of these materials to create underwear that feels as good at rest as it does in motion. Our underwear isn’t just a layer—it’s its own piece, designed to work with you through every moment of your day.

Here's what you can do to manage #sweating during a presentation and minimize its impact on the #audience: Dress strategically: Opt for natural, breathable fabrics like cotton or linen. Looser clothing can also help with air circulation. Avoid triggers: If you know certain foods or drinks make you sweat more, avoid them before your #presentation. Carry #antiperspirant wipes: A quick swipe in a private restroom can help manage sweat, especially in areas like your palms and underarms. Subtle movements: Shift your weight or take a small step back to create airflow and potentially evaporate some sweat. Use props strategically: Hold papers or a pointer in front of sweaty palms.

🌞 Stay Cool and Safe: Understanding Heat Stroke 🌞 Heat stroke is a serious, life-threatening condition that occurs when your body overheats, typically due to prolonged exposure to high temperatures or physical exertion in hot weather. Knowing the signs and how to respond can save lives! Symptoms of Heat Stroke: 🔹 High body temperature (104°F or higher) 🔹 Hot, red, dry, or damp skin 🔹 Rapid and strong pulse 🔹 Headache 🔹 Dizziness and nausea 🔹 Confusion or altered mental state 🔹 Loss of consciousness Immediate Actions: Call 911 or emergency services immediately. Move the person to a cooler place, preferably air-conditioned. Use cool cloths or a cool bath to lower their body temperature. Do NOT give them anything to drink. Preventive Tips: ✔️ Stay hydrated: Drink plenty of water, even if you’re not thirsty. ✔️ Wear loose, lightweight, and light-colored clothing. ✔️ Limit outdoor activities to cooler parts of the day. ✔️ Take frequent breaks in the shade or a cool environment. ✔️ Use sunscreen to prevent sunburn, which affects the body's ability to cool down. ✔️ Never leave anyone in a parked car, especially children or pets. Stay aware, stay prepared, and stay cool this summer! ☀️❄️ #HeatStrokeAwareness #StaySafe #SummerHealth #design #designer #graphics #tipsandtricks
