👻🔥 Before you crank up the heat this spooky season, make sure your furnace isn’t harboring any ghostly dust bunnies! A clogged furnace filter can lead to higher energy bills and poor air quality, so give it a quick change to keep your home cozy and dust-free. Swap Out the Old Filter: Furnace filters should be replaced every 1-3 months, depending on your system and usage. If it’s covered in dust, it’s time to banish those dust bunnies! Swap it out for a new one to improve airflow and efficiency. 🎯 Choose the Right Filter: Not all filters are created equal. Check your system’s specifications to choose a filter with the correct MERV rating for maximum effectiveness. High-efficiency filters trap even the tiniest particles, perfect for keeping allergens and dust out of your home. Inspect for Phantom Noises: While you’re at it, listen for any eerie noises coming from your furnace. Banging, rattling, or ghostly whispers could indicate issues like loose parts or airflow problems. If you hear something spooky, it might be time to call a professional to take a look! Bonus Tip: Write the date on the new filter when you install it, so you’ll know when it’s time to change it again. This simple maintenance trick will keep your home cozy and avoid any haunting surprises in the heating system! 🎃✨

Coolant is used to extract heat from your home. If the refrigerant lines on your unit are leaking, coolant levels will drop and the system will not remove heat fast enough. Warm air will blow through the vents reducing efficiency and causing overheating. If your AC overheats, check the coolant levels.
