Hey everyone, I did a lot of reflecting on the trip I just got back from. There’s something about the airport scene that always makes me wonder about the seasons people are in. I find myself thinking about what might be going on in their lives right now – some might be going to a funeral, others to a wedding, and some maybe celebrating a promotion. As I watched people traveling, flying to new destinations, soaring with excitement, or descending into challenging times, it reminded me of how life is a constant journey. Life has its ups and downs, and it’s so important to embrace and acknowledge the season you’re in right now. Sometimes we’re on top of the world, everything’s going great, and it feels like nothing can go wrong. Those are the moments to really soak in, enjoy, and be grateful for. But also, don’t get too comfy – life has a funny way of changing things up when we least expect it. On the flip side, there are times when things are tough, and it feels like we can’t catch a break. It’s easy to get down on ourselves, but remember, this is just a season. Tough times don’t last forever. It’s okay to feel what you’re feeling, but don’t let it define you. Nothing is permanent. Good or bad, seasons change. So, let’s celebrate the good times and be kind to ourselves during the hard ones. And remember, the only way I can help is to be kind when I come across people. Stop Waiting for the Perfect Ride I don’t know who needs to hear this, but here’s your reminder: you don’t need the comfort of a fancy ride to get to your destination. What matters is the destination itself. Most times, people won’t care how you got there, but it’s crucial to avoid paths that lead to destruction while striving for your goals. Because I go out often, I usually take public transport. Let me tell you, it’s not always a smooth experience—sitting between men who don’t know how to sit properly, dealing with sweaty neighbors, or even standing for the entire journey. Some days, I hop between three different buses, sweating, struggling, and adjusting, just to make it on time. I’ve had moments where I’ve thought, “Time is flying! I can’t wait for the perfect ride. I need to move now because my destination matters.” And then it hit me: Stop waiting for the perfect, fancy ride to take you to your destination. The comfort and luxury you seek are waiting for you at your destination. Save time and ride with what’s available now. This perspective shifted my mindset—not just about transportation, but about life. The process won’t always be tidy or comfortable. The journey may be tough, and not everyone will be kind along the way. But once you reach your goal, none of that matters. At your destination, the chairs will be soft, the air will be cool, and you’ll walk in with confidence, knowing you made it. This applies to everything, from starting something new to chasing your dreams. We often wait for the perfect timing, the ideal resources, or the “fancy ride” to begin. But ask anyone who has arrived at their goals—they’ll tell you they didn’t wait for perfection. They made use of what was available. This also resonates with our spiritual journey. Heaven is the ultimate goal, and we can’t trade eternal comfort for fleeting earthly ease. So, if you’re waiting for the perfect conditions, remember: your assignment is unique, and so is your path.
