So much to talk about on entrepreneurship and AI that Katharine Lau, founder of Stuf Storage, and I met up twice this week. Grateful for a fellow Apex for Youth AB alum paving the way for other founders like myself, especially a minority one in real estate. Talk about great stuf... We focused on how AI is impacting every aspect of not just the business of real estate but the business of everything we do to run a company. I shared how at Deepblue we’re using Perplexity to help us write Google Scripts to automate parts of the process for sourcing, analyzing, and underwriting deals. Spot AI: Modern AI-powered camera system for business insights I’m often asked, how do we compete with the big girls and boys? 1. We don’t - we target deals too small for them (and too big for mom and pop investors) 2. We don’t have a choice but to leverage technology Because we’re small and lean, we can try to level the playing field by leaning into AI. Of course, some things can’t and shouldn’t be AI’d - that’s a conversation for another day.
