Studio 24’s Post

Every 39 seconds, there is a cyber attack somewhere on the web *. National Computer Security Day is on 30th November and it's a reminder for us all to think about how we keep our data (and our customers' data) safe online. Today we'll share some reading from The National Cyber Security Centre on one important part of security: passwords. There are three things you can do: 1) Get a password manager. This guide will help you to choose the right password manager for your organisation: https://lnkd.in/gKfPK3xG 2) Review your approach to managing passwords in your organisation: https://lnkd.in/gV8-9vT 3) Understand what makes a good password. No matter how many times we're asked to do it, it's not one capital letter, one number, and one special character! A reasonably long password is all that matters and 3 words are easier to remember than a random string of characters. https://lnkd.in/dv6EKkw We are a Cyber Essentials Plus accredited agency and we take data privacy seriously. We advise clients on how best to process data online and we implement best practice methods to ensure data security. We’ve worked on projects where data protection and cyber security have been key elements. For example, building a Covid 19 app for NHS Test and Trace. You can read more about this project on our website: https://lnkd.in/eJKSccSa If security on your website is something you’d like to know more about please get in touch. * If you'd like more terrifying figures about cyber attacks, read this blog post from TechJury! https://lnkd.in/dEhP34W
