We love to get creative when it comes to advertising jobs, it helps our partners stand out in a crowded online space. Being innovators isn't always easy. To make an omelette, you need to break a few eggs. Here are some of the shells we've left on the kitchen floor over the last 3 years: 1. Tom showing off our office 'MTV Cribs' style to entice our next Talent Partner 2. Putting up a sign outside of our partner's site saying "If you worked here, you'd be at work by now" 3. Releasing 450 rubber ducks with our contact details into the North Atlantic and hoping they make their way to Boston 4. Tom dressed as Bigfoot in the woods holding a sign for a QA Director 5. Yas's boat-themed carousel for a sales role involving heavy word play with 'sails' 6. Hiring a sky banner to fly over Taylor Swift's Wembley Eras Tour show 7. Crafting a 6ft sand sculpture of a Head of Sales on the local beach 8. Shaving the job advert into the fleece of 28 alpacas 9. Yesterday we took the opportunity to upgrade photos for our website. I have never used a professional cinematographer before (not just a mere photographer!) to take photos as I previously did what so many of us do, use our hitech phones. As someone I knew personally, they were a little reluctant to charge for the photos taken as they felt that a professional photographer would do a better job! They just wanted to do me a favour and help out as I have done for them in the past. On arrival, my suggested location inside was dismissed due to poor lighting and very quickly the space chosen was in the garden of our office meet-up. I had never appreciated how tricky it is to get the right light, the kit needed plus expecting all of us to happily look the same way with our eyes open, particularly when you add a dog that really dislikes having their picture taken. I think the end result looks good but please ignore the fact I am on my knees, it's a usual position when you work in recruitment! Doing this made me appreciate the reason why you should engage professionals in your business be that recruiters, developers, 3rd party suppliers etc. Yes, it can cost more than you think to use expertise, but sadly in life you often get what you pay for. As a company, we are much better value than so many recruiters but we do offer years of recruitment experience to hopefully deliver the best person for your business.
