Celebrating HSE achievement and Load Out ceremony for Gansar and Integrated Bekok Oil The project journey is rarely smooth sailing. There will be unforeseen challenges, unexpected obstacles, and moments of doubt. But it's during these times that the true value of teamwork shines brightest. On my recent project involvement, our team truly embodied the spirit of collaboration. We faced numerous hurdles, specifically on Operation Readiness as my scope contribution, such as the readiness for brownfield support, completion of system to be handed over to operation team and more. But through open communication, mutual support, and a shared commitment to safety, we persevered. Safety excellence was paramount throughout the project. We implemented a robust HSE plan, fostering a culture of awareness and responsibility. As one of the leader in our organization emphasized in his speech which aligns with my perception towards HSE, not only to recognize the safe manhours, but to inculcate in our own practice. Are we practicing HSE in daily life? I'm incredibly proud to say that our team achieved a remarkable safe manhours. This accomplishment is a testament to everyone's dedication to a safe and healthy work environment. Every hurdle we encountered was an opportunity to learn, adapt, and grow stronger as a team. We leveraged each other's strengths, celebrated individual contributions, and fostered an environment of open communication where every voice was heard and valued. This collaborative spirit allowed us to find innovative solutions and navigate even the most complex challenges. The project's successful completion is a direct result of the exceptional teamwork displayed by every member. We learned to trust each other, rely on each other's expertise, and celebrate each other's successes. This project is a shining example of what can be achieved when a team comes together with a unified vision and a commitment to excellence. It is a final step for the project, to load out the complete module for offshore installation. #Quiluma Project #PetromarAmbrizYard# #HSEPETROMARAMBRIZ 2023/2025. Safety assured with an experienced HSE team from the Petromar Ambriz shipyard in the period 2023/2025. The project is progressing at a good pace, statistics point to a low rate of minor accidents with just under 5 since the beginning and thousands of hours worked without serious accidents and much less fatalities. It is this report that makes us proud as HSE professionals. This is one more experience gained in my career and always ready for upcoming challenges in the area of oil and gas production. Reflecting on the image and my experiences during the #PNGLNG FEED project at the #PNGECP5 Komo Airfield Construction, I can vividly recall the dynamic and often tense atmosphere that permeated the site. The image captures a moment that was all too common: a standoff between the commitment to safety and the drive to meet project targets. As a member of the OHS team, we were frequently caught in the middle of this push and pull. On one side, there were the Australian engineers from #MCJV, who were steadfast in their dedication to comply with Exxon's stringent OHS&E requirements. Their approach was methodical, prioritizing the well-being of every worker and the integrity of the project above all else. On the other side, the Arabic engineers and operators, who brought a different perspective to the table, often challenged the conservative approach. Their willingness to take risks was not out of negligence but stemmed from their cultural disposition towards bold decision-making. This often led to heated debates, especially when local employees from Hela, who shared a similar disposition towards risk, were involved. The image shows the Safety Officer advocating for the safety of the workers, a stance I shared and often defended. The Site Engineer's concern about meeting targets reflects the constant pressure we were under to progress, despite the potential risks. (And the Exxons project management team were never compromising as well.) These moments, while stressful, also gave rise to humorous anecdotes that those of us who were there can relate to. The camaraderie that developed among the team, the unexpected solutions to unforeseen problems, and the sheer unpredictability of each day made the project an unforgettable experience. It's a reminder of the delicate balance we had to maintain between ensuring safety and pushing forward to achieve our goals. It was a time of learning, growth, and, despite the challenges, a lot of laughter. Those days at the Komo Airfield Construction project will always be a significant chapter in my professional journey.
