🌍 Tip #8: When selling to a foreign market, make sure your sales lead UNDERSTANDS their mentality! 📍 Being based in Israel, virtually all of our clients are looking to sell abroad – whether in Europe, North America, or beyond. And they are smart because they hire us! 💡 We have experience selling in over 60 countries! That means we know who to talk to to make sure our sales plan aligns with the local culture. 🎥 This video shows that there are huge gaps in mentalities between nations. Don't think that just because you are speaking the same language that you are talking their language. 🤝 Always make sure to hire someone with international sales experience (like us!! 😎) when looking to expand to international markets. #internationalsales #salestips

What makes an outstanding International Sales Manager/Director? Outstanding international sales professionals are focused on creating lasting, mutually beneficial relationships across borders. In my 20+ years with Cavendish Maine, I've seen that the most successful international professionals are excellent relationship builders and possess a unique combination of skills. ⭐Cultural intelligence⭐ Understanding and respecting different business customs can make or break a deal. This isn't just nice to have; it's essential for building trust. Additionally, language skills can help with quickly establishing credibility in a target market. ⭐Knowledge of international distribution channels⭐ Knowing how to identify, approach, appoint and subsequently manage suitable distribution partners is priceless. Whether it's local distributors, agents, or you plan to sell to the customer directly, the ability to build strong partnerships and manage the relationship is essential for long-term success. ⭐Strategic vision ⭐ An exceptional manager identifies market trends and adapts strategies accordingly. We recently placed a manager covering the LATAM markets who elevated sales by 50+% in just a year, utilising his regional knowledge and his ability to anticipate market changes. ⭐Flexibility and self-motivation⭐ International sales professionals do not follow a regular Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm schedule and the work can be solitary at times. A willingness to travel internationally and an ability to motivate oneself are vital for success. In keeping the post relatively short, I have no doubt missed a key point or two. What do you think is the key trait of an outstanding international sales manager? At Cavendish Maine, we've helped countless clients find the right talent to lead and bolster their international efforts. If you're looking for the best candidates to boost your international sales or you are an international professional looking for a new challenge, please get in touch. https://cavendishmaine.com #InternationalSales #SalesLeadership #Recruitment

Me: "That was a great mtg!"🙌 Sales Team: 👀 👀 👀 Me: "What? Did I miss something?" Sales Team: "We missed it all!" [ Ears & Accents ] Living in Asia for 20 years means I've learned more English than any other language!😅 Growing up in NY, I got used to hearing all types & levels of English🗽 Living abroad took that 10 levels up!📈 My client's sales team is all fluent in English. Our meeting with a new partner was all in English. They understood nothing🫥 Advice from a DJ: Find the rhythm🎧 Pronunciation & vocabulary fall into place AFTER you get a handle on the cadence & rhythm.

I used to shy away from sales, thinking it wasn’t for me. I believed the misconceptions and feared the pressure surrounding it. But moving to Dubai and joining a customer service/sales role changed everything. For the past 5 months, not only have I consistently hit my targets, but I’ve excelled in my role — and even become the top performer. It made me realize something important: I never actually hated sales. I simply feared it because I misunderstood what it truly is. Fear, in its real sense, is for the unknown. But what if the unknown is beautiful? What if I hadn’t taken this leap of faith? I wouldn’t be in this amazing position today. Sales is all about how we connect with people. When you approach it as a conversation, not a transaction, the results speak for themselves. Customer service has proven to be the role I enjoy most, where I get to engage with people and offer solutions. It’s been one of the most rewarding experiences in my career. I can’t wait to keep growing and dive into more challenging roles that will help shape both my character and my career as a whole. Here’s to embracing the unknown and continuing to push boundaries!

Are you considering testing the Canadian market by hiring a few Canadian sales representatives? Fantastic! Question - Is the sales representative an employee or an independent contractor? The classification of an employee vs. independent contractor may be different in Canada than your home jurisdiction. Get started in Canada on the right foot. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!!

Last week I spent most of my time doing after sales service through follow up calls on our customers from Litudian. Since the company deals with shipping items from china and the UAE mostly targeting SMEs, I wanted to know if the clients were satisfied with the orders received this year. One of the areas I was interested in, is to know whether they were satisfied with the quality of the products, delivery process and company service. It was also a great chance to know why some of them were no longer ordering from us anymore. From this engagement with the customers, I learnt that; 📌 It is the little things that matters to clients. 📌Every client wants to be where they feel valued and respected. 📌 Effective communication is key in maintaining client relations. 📌 It's always good to involve clients whenever you are making changes that will affect them. 📌 Seeking feedback from clients should be in your schedule. Ps. How do you do your after sales services? #customerrelations #aftersales
