🔔 Ready to boost your career this summer? Our interns at StoneX sure are! We kicked off the latest edition of our internship program 🌟 Our interns received a dream welcome, with Malgorzata Kisza EMBA, Program Manager at StoneX Poland, leading an insightful session on cross-cultural communication in fast-paced finance and tech environments—a crucial skill in global organizations like ours. For those who missed out this year, here are some key takeaways from Gosia's training 😊 Remember them, join next year, and shine with your knowledge 😄✨ - Effective Communication: Learn to say yes, appreciate peers, follow up when necessary, and say no when needed. - Engaging with Leaders: Strategies for direct and impactful communication. - Showcasing Work: Choosing the right setting to demonstrate achievements and discuss ideas. - Professional Networking: The importance of informal interactions like water cooler chats and office parties. Curated exercises emphasized that communication is an art of adaptation, listening, and relevant response. The highlight? Decrypting real-life messages from managers! Our program also included: 👉 Sessions with Ania McLaughlin on building foundational skills. 👉 Panels: “Backpack to Suitcase” and Women of StoneX. 👉 Skills Building Sessions: With our Early Careers team, including Molly Thomas, Spencer Mayers, Shelly Katyal, and Aneta Bochenek. Our interns are gaining valuable insights and building essential skills. We can’t wait to see them grow! 🚀 #StoneXInternship #CareerGrowth #ProfessionalDevelopment #TeamStoneX #InternshipLife #LeadershipSkills

👋This past week, Greif interns participated in a week-long immersive intern summit that provided an introduction to the company, the opportunity to network with many colleagues, and the ability to create meaningful connections with our fellow interns. Firstly, we appreciate the efforts of Tracy Studebaker and Michele Walker, along with countless others in both planning and investing in young talent throughout this summit. During an engaging session and presentation with Chief Human Resources Officer Bala Sathyanarayanan, we received exciting news: Greif has been selected as one of Newsweek's Top 100 Global Most Loved Workspaces in 2024! Such an accomplishment hardly comes as a surprise, and it is largely due to Greif’s unique culture. After diving deeper into our conversation with Bala Sathyanarayanan about the building blocks of what distinguishes Greif, we want to take a moment to reflect on some of those remarkable highlights. During his presentation, Bala emphasized a people-first mentality through servant leadership aimed at serving others. Through this, we were introduced to six attributes of a highly valued intern: being a business person (no matter your role at the company), leaving your work better than you found it, having a bias for action and following through, being a change leader, being candid and to the point, and being a complex problem solver. Throughout our discussion, we reflected on the importance and impact of company culture, curiosity and exploration regarding our own work, and pushing the boundaries and expectations of our role. We also delved into the importance of candid and direct communication, and how we can evolve to become complex problem solvers. One key indicator stuck out to us that we wanted to expand on: having a bias for action and following through. To us, this means being consciously change oriented and proactive. It means putting yourself out there even if you are uncomfortable. It means constantly reflecting on our past, energizing others, and asking questions. After all, no question is a dumb question. The place where you improve the most is outside your comfort zone. Being an intern means not just clocking in and getting the job done; it's about pushing boundaries and exceeding expectations by keeping your focus on the bigger picture. The only way to move forward is to step away from comfort. That's what will truly make you stand out. And we are committed to doing just that. This post was made in collaboration with Jenna Floyd, Reese Yankie, Oviyaal Kannan, Raaga Dandavolu, Katie Lucas, Artem Lavrov, and Aditya Babu. #LoveWhereYouWork #Greif #InternSummit #MostLovedWorkplace

I recently concluded my internship at Rollz International, and what an enriching journey it has been! 💫 Project Highlights 🔍 A significant highlight was conducting a comprehensive Market Research Project aimed at Strategic Planning in Product Development and Market Penetration. This project allowed me to apply the knowledge from my European Studies programme in a real-world setting, transforming theoretical insights into practical, impactful strategies. One invaluable skill I picked up at Rollz, which wasn't covered at my university, was writing a white paper – a challenging yet incredibly rewarding experience. Hands-On Experience 💼 Throughout my internship, I engaged in a variety of tasks that significantly contributed to my professional growth. From assisting with social media postings to handling diverse marketing-related tasks, I gained hands-on experience that broadened my skill set. European Dimension 🌍 The European dimension of Rollz International was particularly enlightening. Working within a multicultural team and navigating diverse international markets provided me with deep insights into global business operations and cross-cultural communication. This experience has truly broadened my perspective, enhanced my adaptability, and enriched my cultural competence. ✨A special thank you to my supervisors, Oana Popoiu, for her unwavering support and guidance, and to Richard Zwart for entrusting me with the market research project. Your mentorship and trust have been instrumental in my development. Looking forward to applying everything I've learned in my future endeavors and staying connected with the amazing people I've met along the way! #RollzInternational #ProfessionalGrowth #EuropeanExperience #Gratitude #WorkPlacement #Marketing #Research #StrategicPlanning #EuropeanStudies #CareerMilestones

Last month, I had the incredible opportunity to intern at Lognext, a technological consulting firm that works with prestigious clients such as Securitas Direct, BNP Paribas, Inditex, and Mutua Madrileña. During my time at Lognext, I gained invaluable insights into both the operations and financial departments. Here are some key highlights: 🔍 Financial Department: I was able to participate in the workings of the financial department, attending daily meetings and understanding the intricacies of the team's strategies. Three major takeaways from this experience were: - Budget vs. Actual Comparison: Always compare everything with the budget to ensure financial health. - Margin vs. Markup: Understanding the critical difference between these two concepts. - Data Analysis: The importance of always analysing the data for informed decision-making. 🛠️ Operations Department: In the operations department, I had the chance to observe the selection process, learn how to attract new clients and consultants, and participate in daily meetings. I also saw how interviews work from the employer's perspective. My top three takeaways here were: - Continuous Improvement: Always strive for continuous improvement in every process. - Client Relationship Management: The significance of maintaining strong client relationships and the techniques for client retention. - Holistic Perspective: The importance of viewing situations from different angles and thoroughly analysing all perspectives. Overall, my internship at Lognext was incredibly enriching. I actively participated in daily meetings, observed team dynamics, and learned from experienced professionals. This experience provided me with a deeper understanding of how a technological consulting firm operates, particularly in both the operations and financial departments. I gained valuable practical knowledge and skills that will undoubtedly benefit my future career. I am sincerely grateful to Longext and all the supportive team members who guided me throughout this journey. Looking forward to applying what I've learned and continuing to grow professionally! #Internship #ProfessionalGrowth #Finance #Operations #Consulting #CareerDevelopment #LearningExperience

What is company culture?👨💼📚 It's the heartbeat of a workplace, the glue that holds everyone together. I'm here to share my experience of how Trescon's culture took me on a memorable ride.🧠 Here are some key takeaways from my internship: First-Name Basis Interaction: 👪 At Trescon, everyone is on a first-name basis, regardless of position or tenure. It erases barriers and creates a sense of belonging. You're not just an intern; you're a valued member of the team. Wise Up Wednesdays: 📚 Every Wednesday, a colleague shares their expertise, and you get to absorb new knowledge like a sponge. You're not just learning job skills; you're expanding your perspective. Fun Fridays: On Fridays, all departmental teams come together for activities that promote inter-departmental bonding. Whether it's a game of Simon Says or a quick brainstorming session, you're building bridges and strengthening relationships. 🤝 Open Communication with Seniors: 🗣️ In an open culture, you can approach anyone, anytime. Whether it's a senior or a junior, everyone is approachable and eager to help. This creates a safe space for enquiry and mentorship.💡 Learning from Failures: At Trescon, we acknowledge that failures happen. But we don't let them discourage us. Instead, we use them as stepping stones for growth. You're not afraid to take risks because you know you have a supportive community behind you. 🎯 So, what did I take away from this experience? The importance of open communication with seniors and peers. 🗣️ The power of learning from failures and using them as growth opportunities.🧠 In conclusion, my internship at Trescon taught me that a positive and inclusive work environment is the backbone of any successful organization. When you feel valued, respected, and supported, you're more likely to thrive and make a meaningful impact. #Trescon #CompanyCulture #Internship
