My graditude journey. As I look back over the past year, I’m reminded of the importance of showing up and holding myself accountable for my own growth. Facing myself hasn’t always been easy—leaning into fear, learning from failures, and letting go of insecurities. But through it all, I’ve learned how powerful it is to feel good in my own skin and truly trust myself. Now, I know that whatever I set out to do, I am capable. Every connection I make, I know I’m worthy of someone’s time and energy. But getting here hasn’t been a simple journey. Building self-love and self-trust is hard work. It takes courage to confront insecurities and commit to nurturing yourself. It’s easy to use insecurity as an excuse, but I’ve learned that self-love is the real recipe for success. Every morning, I make two extra chapatis, not for me, but for my little friends who visit me daily. The moment I step outside, I’m greeted by the squirrel darting around excitedly, its bushy tail flicking, and the sparrows hopping and chirping, almost as if they’re telling me, “Hurry up, we’re hungry!” It’s such a heartwarming scene that I look forward to every single day. I sit down and carefully tear the chapatis into small pieces, scattering them on the ground. The squirrel grabs a piece with its tiny paws and nibbles away happily, while the sparrows take turns pecking at their share, flapping their wings in delight. Watching them enjoy their meal fills me with so much peace and joy. In that moment, it feels like I’ve done something meaningful, no matter how small it may seem. This daily ritual has made me reflect on the concept of CSR—Corporate Social Responsibility. Companies talk about giving back to society through various initiatives, but why should it be limited to businesses? I believe we all have a responsibility to help others, no matter how small the act. For me, feeding these little lives is my way of giving back. It’s my own personal CSR, ensuring they have a meal without the struggle of searching for food, especially in harsh weather. It’s such a simple act, just wo extra chapatis but it carries so much meaning. These moments remind me that kindness doesn’t have to be big or complicated. Even small efforts can make a difference, whether it’s feeding animals, helping a neighbor, or simply being there for someone in need. And in return, these little creatures give me so much more than I give them. Their trust, their joy, and a daily reminder that life is about caring and sharing. It’s a beautiful cycle of giving and receiving, and it fills my heart with gratitude every single day. #gratitude #kindness #lovefornature #CSR

Today, many of us in the United States will gather to celebrate Thanksgiving—a time for gratitude, reflection, and connection. While I deeply enjoy this season, it always inspires me to strive for more. I grew up in a single-wide trailer in northern Michigan. Often, there was no electricity or running water, but it was filled with love—and hardship. I witnessed my mother endure abuse, and I learned early that when a parent suffers in front of their child, the child suffers, too. Those experiences shaped me, but they did not define me. Today, I walk through my home with immense gratitude for every part of the journey that brought me here. I don’t take my blessings—nor the ethos of hard work, resilience, and integrity—for granted. These values are my foundation, and I strive to instill them in my children and my work. As you sit around your table sharing and giving this Thanksgiving, I encourage you to reflect on the strength it takes to overcome, the courage it takes to persist, and the power of living a life rooted in integrity. Let’s carry that spirit forward into everything we do. Each of us has a role to play in creating a safer world—whether through kindness, understanding, or the work we do every day. By uplifting others, standing up for what's right, and fostering trust and accountability, we can leave the world better than we found it.
