Credit insurers have grown in importance in trade distribution in recent years. As we bring capital markets liquidity to SME-focused working capital lenders, the role fulfilled by credit insurers remains critical, if not more. This is why I have invited Richard Wulff, Executive Director at ICISA - International Credit Insurance & Surety Association to feature as panellist during the 2nd edition of our Trade Finance Investor Day brought to you by TFD Initiative and our 2024 partners: XDC Foundation, MFD, Tradeteq, Reed Smith LLP, Emerald Capital Group, LSQ, Teybridge Capital, Lloyds Bank Corporate & Institutional, ICISA - International Credit Insurance & Surety Association, Trade Finance Global (TFG), Global Trade Review (GTR). 'Unlocking Asset-Backed Securitisation' is this year’s theme as we aim to support SME-focused lenders partnering with institutional investors. Non-bank lenders and their risk and liquidity partners will therefore feature high on our agenda as they have become new dependable sources of funding for SMEs in some geographies. Those include logistics companies and business-to-business platforms, next to non-bank lenders, credit insurers and asset managers. More information here: https://lnkd.in/eTSMk_Gi

KBRA released the May 2024 issue of CMBS Trend Watch. Heading into CRE Finance Council’s (CREFC) midyear conference, an overarching theme may be the resurgence of #CMBS private label issuance. In May, 14 deals comprising $9.3 billion of issuance priced, representing a year-over-year (YoY) increase of 158.9%. We do not expect the summer doldrums to slow issuance as we move further into June. Inspirational talk from Jo Salter MBE. Britains first female fast jet pilot. Loads of take aways but my favourite quote: ‘Your maximum point of learning is right on the edge of panic’ Great way to kick off the The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (The CISI) Financial Planning Conference. #learningthroughchallenge #thrivingontheedge #financialplanning #FPC24
