What remedies do you go to when you perf too high during a Frac operation? Unfortunately it’s something that does happen. An issue can arise and cause wireline to shoot 1,500’ too high during a multistage Frac operation. Typically the plan is to either continue with the Frac and lose that portion of the well to stimulate or shut the Frac operation down completely until a viable solution can be attained later. SwellFrac can solve this extremely costly issue. We can mobilize personnel to location, perform the SwellFrac treatment on the perfs that are shot too high, permanently isolate them from the rest of the well with no ID restrictions made to the wellbore. You can now continue to perforate at the correct depth with the same treatment program, same Frac plugs and perf guns to recover that lost 1,500’ of precious reservoir. Thoughts on Valuation? Finding a fair valuation of reserves in given fields is one part of a valuation component. Production from these reserves further strengthens the predictability of that valuation. There are some instances where refrac wells produce at 120% of the original initial production. With more successful refrac data pouring in, does this increase the value of your mature field(s)? It's time to think more technically about reusing RAP. Our roads are a valuable source of both bitumen and aggregate which with the right techniques can be incorporated back into their original layers.
