Highly recommend this podcast on what CEOs, CIOs and managers should do with gen AI. Start by listening to the last 10 minutes first. Yes, you have to use genAI. But, it won't itself give competitive advantage - everyone has access. Harvest the experiments everyone's already doing in your organisation, with, or without you. Create value from your core competencies. It's not enough to do efficiency, as everyone's got that going anyway. It brings in doubt the possibility of choosing between being an exploration or exploitation focused business as it sounds like organisations have to learn to become ambidextrous, by default.
