Healthify, an AI-powered health and fitness platform, has closed a $45 million funding round led by Khosla Ventures and LeapFrog Investments, with new backing from Claypond Capital. The funds will accelerate Healthify's global expansion, focusing on entering the US market and advancing its AI capabilities. Of the $45 million, $20 million was raised recently, adding to a previous tranche in 2023. Before saying a 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐟𝐞𝐥𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮 to our always supportive existing investors & new investors at Verge HealthTech Fund, DocMorris & KAPA Ventures, I wanted to share some thoughts on FemTech. Despite early feedback from our users, medical advisors, and angel investors to set the focus on women’s health right away, we were reluctant to do so. Why? Maybe because of the 𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐠𝐦𝐚 topics like PMS, Menopause, PCOS, Sexual health, etc. still have. Maybe because of the 𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐞𝐱𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐠𝐚𝐩𝐬 - persistent with experts, doctors, and institutions making it tough for a consumer startup to establish a business. Co-founded by Roman Kalista, MD, and Jan Škvařil, the company has received significant support in the seed round to expand its grocery network, strengthen its team, and extend services to diverse payers.
