The answer will largely depend on where you are in your career and what you want from your professional life. Dublin-based Drive Inc. acquired by Nasdaq-listed ACV Auctions, reflecting strong exit opportunities for Irish tech startups. Irish Government allocates €250M for early-stage start-ups through the Seed and Venture Capital Scheme to support innovation in various sectors. CroiValve secures $16M in Series B funding to advance its heart valve treatment device, aiming to expand its specialist workforce. Dublin-based MIXRIFT raises $1.6M in pre-seed funding to accelerate mixed reality gaming development for headsets like Meta Quest 3 and Apple Vision Pro. As can be expected August was a slower news month but expect things to ramp up through the rest of the year! In my free time, I'd love to provide some consultant-style guidance, expertise, and maybe even a POC or 2 for an early stage tech startup - then step back and watch them grow. Maybe continuing to pop in from time to time to provide more guidance. What platforms exist for this kind of thing? Where do people ask for this kind of help when they need it? The problems you have to solve after your first 1000 users from a technology perspective are very different from your first 10k, 100k, 1m, etc. I really nerd out over the scaling and security considerations as those numbers grow and the balancing act, trade-offs, etc. along the way.
