Last week, DTEK Oil&Gas specialists joined an industry workshop on the development of artificial lift systems in Ukraine at National University «Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic». Over 100 oil and gas experts together with Pierre Emmanuel d'Huart, Regional Director of SPE (Europe), took part in this autumn meeting by SPE Central Ukraine Section. They shared experiences of using artificial lift systems and considered ways of their further development to maintain wells at a mature stage of production. The companies shared real cases, problems, and complications they had, as well as success stories of practical solutions. Dmytro Trokhymets, Well Intervention Manager of DTEK Oil&Gas, shared the company's experience of using capillary systems to stabilize the production of deep wells with problems of scale deposits. This approach made it possible to reduce operating costs and obtain additional gas production. "Any field will get depleted in the future. Artificial lift systems allow to extend the profitable life of wells and increase the final hydrocarbon recovery factor. We hope that the experience of DTEK Oil&Gas will help other companies work with problematic well stock and increase the energy independence of Ukraine", Dmytro Trokhymets noted.

Ukrgasvydobuvannya JSC, which is part of Naftogaz of Ukraine Group, has put into service a new appraisal-development well that is 5,920 meters deep and has a daily production rate of 110,000 cubic meters of natural gas. The relevant statement was made by Naftogaz Group’s press service, an Ukrinform correspondent reports. “Through the use of modern field development approaches, we have got a good result. It is worth noting that the field where the well had been drilled is over 45 years old. I am grateful to the entire team for dedication and hard work. We are confidently moving towards our goal – the energy independence of the state,” Naftogaz Group Board Chairman & CEO Oleksiy Chernyshov noted. In his words, since early 2024, Ukraine’s state- and privately-owned companies have launched more than 100 new wells. Meanwhile, Ukrgasvydobuvannya JSC Acting CEO Serhii Lahno mentioned that the project team was planning to sink two new appraisal-development wells within that field. A reminder that, by using the dual completion technique, Ukrgasvydobuvannya JSC increased the daily production rate of its well by 2.4 times to 170,000 cubic meters. https://lnkd.in/di4Dwwvc

Gastech in Houston September 17-20, 2024 The Exhibition was a great experience to witness and learn about LNG and Liquid Hydrogen. It is important to know how it is generated and transported in a carbon free atmosphere. AI’s influence on how the future is shaping up. I did not realize how NH4 is fracked where Nitrogen and Hydrogen are separated. Seeing how the majors, ExxonMobil, Chevron, Conoco Phillips, Shell, Aramco, ADNOC, Engie, Freeport LNG, KOGAS and others are moving forward. Pardon me for not mentioning all the major participants. It was very revealing as to how this is a global effort. So many countries were present. To name a few, Korea, China, Norway, Germany, Argentina, Malaysia India, Nigeria and many others. Also representing were the major suppliers of products and solutions - EMERSON, HONEYWELL, YOKOGAWA, SIEMENS and others. There were many companies from across the globe that are providing support to the majors. It is hard for me to mention all. In my following messages, I will post some pictures of what I had captured. More participant information is available online at gastechevent.com.

The Sinergia team has recently paid a visit to its new Omani Agent, Stellar Process Solutions LLC, with a clear intention of performing a supporting action to this growing market. The scheduled visit to the OPES exhibition, and various meetings performed with several local End Users and EPC contractors, gave the opportunity to better introduce Sinergia and its wide product portfolio, with a focus on the engineered turn-key plants. Different players are leading the Omani market, including several “Oil Service Companies”, which showed their interest in the N2 Artificial Lift application for depleted wells. This preliminary official presentation to the Omani market brings certainties about the next result in registering Sinergia in local AVLs, for more to come. #WeAreSinergia #OilandGas #Oman

Facing low rates of penetration (ROP) in an unconventional, vertical deep gas application, an operator sought to enhance performance and rerunnability. Through the Design at the Customer Interface (DatCI™) process, Halliburton collaborated with the customer to create a drill bit that optimized efficiency and performance. The result? The new Hedron® bit design drilled 2,336 feet using a motor BHA, achieving an impressive ROP of 267 feet per hour—the highest in the field at the time. This demonstrates a substantial 15% improvement on the previous field record. Read the full case study >> https://lnkd.in/d2ysSYjC Halliburton
