📢 coming to you live(ish) from #himss24. Today, first CMS’ listening session on LTPAC (Long Term Post Acute Care). 🫡 Liz Palena Hall & Johanna Henry (ONC) did a wonderful job discussing interoperability. 🇺🇸 the benefits of TEFCA continues: specifically ONC’s overall policy —> RCE—>QHINS. IYKYK 😇 💰 Incentives were discussed on how to make the market and the ecosystem of all those involved to move towards closing the ever increasing gap between providers and patients. 🇺🇸 Success stories were shared about how local HIEs and QHINs were making impacts. Cudos to Arkansas for sending 12million messages a month! 🇺🇸 Reducing burdens to comply with regulations is still the mission. 🧩 Social Determinants of Health is still a critical part of the solution puzzle. ✊🏽Those most vulnerable among us cannot afford to wait. The great news is that Abt Global stands with CMS and ONC ready to help address this pressing challenge. #cms #onc #hhs #himss24 #federalcontracting #federalgovernment #healthcare #interoperability

The implementation of the Medical Priority Dispatch System (MPDS) is quickly advancing to Communications Centres and Paramedic Services across Ontario. This marks a significant milestone for Communications Centres, Paramedic Services, and a wide range of community partners, all of whom are working together to enhance emergency response and patient care.
As we say goodbye to 2024, I'd like to highlight the Medical Priority Dispatch System (MPDS) implementation achievements and outline our exciting plans for 2025. This past year has been pivotal in enhancing 911 emergency technology services across Ontario, ensuring more efficient emergency responses and suitable paramedic services province-wide. Key Achievements in 2024: MPDS Rollout: Thunder Bay, Ottawa, Renfrew, and Georgian call centres successfully went live with MPDS, with the Georgian call centre marking another milestone on November 13th. Looking Ahead to 2025: Aggressive Implementation Schedule: We’re set to start the new year strong with Kingston going live on February 5th, followed by Lindsay, Oshawa, Timmins, Hamilton, and Cambridge. Team Excellence: Our incredible IT and MPDS Project teams have worked tirelessly to overcome challenges, and their dedication and expertise give me great confidence as we embark on this journey. I'm enthusiastic about the future and eager to continue rolling out this transformative service throughout Ontario. Here’s to a successful 2025! 🚑🏥 https://lnkd.in/gBjf2tA3 https://lnkd.in/g5a9659M https://lnkd.in/giBBEg7b https://lnkd.in/g-AMhXnU #MPDS #EmergencyServices #Ontario #ITLeadership #2025Goals #TeamWork #Innovation #HealthcareTech #Paramedics #MPDSLaunch #EmergencyServices #HealthTech #TeamEffort #SavingLives #CACC, #Paramedic Services

NHSE Planning guidance for 2024/5 is finally out. That leaves 1 working day until the next financial year start. Normally Trusts have 3 months. The bit that applies to UEC is pages 13 to 16. https://lnkd.in/eRB-hefb The new targets: 🏥 New A&E target of 78%, and 🚑 Cat 2 target moved to a whopping 30mins. That said, few of the guidance to implement has anything to do with A&E or ambulance services. And none of the services mentioned are measured in any detail compared to A&E measurements. Most are focused on these 10 services 👉 https://lnkd.in/ehrupneH Which will be largely unachievable without measuring performance of the areas that provide these, in the same way A&E is measured, or without durable professional standards 👉 https://lnkd.in/eBV9Tb86 These are three recommendations the NHSE South West UEC team made to local ICBs and trusts about a fortnight ago. I'd recommend these as a starting point for any ICB or Trust who have to come up with a workable UEC plan for 2024/25: ✳️1. Ensure safety mitigation for crowding in A&E as per RCEM crowding guidance: https://lnkd.in/ewjv2ZpY ✳️2. Measure, track and improve all specialty workflow, in real-time, from time of referral/arrival to discharge/ decision-to-admit/ referral in all UEC areas, not just A&E ✳️3. Measure, track and improve maturity of services that can offset crowding as per NHSE guidance (incl. Same Day Emergency Care, Acute Frailty Services, Acute Hospital Flow and Virtual Ward: https://lnkd.in/eEuKYZw5)
