Welcome to Stag Gin! Stag Gin was born from a desire to have our own gin served on Sip 'n' Swig mobile bars. Giles created our first London Dry Gin with a juniper forward, citrus G&T in mind but also as an ideal base for cocktails. Running the bar company and with no intention of taking the gin to a wider market, we approached many distilleries and eventually found Laurence at Wharf Distillery who was happy to distil to our recipe and not a version of. A small family run business who even let us get involved in the run, this worked perfectly to have an expert on board whilst we weren’t planning to distil ourselves but knew exactly what we wanted and what would work with our background of hospitality and cocktail creation. When we took this first gin out to events, we received huge compliments and many comments about taking this to a wider market. Wanting to know whether they were just being kind, even though we loved it too, we entered Smooth in to an international spirit competition (IWSC - Club Oenologique) and received a very commendable silver award. We launched Stag Spiced in 2022 for a perfect negroni and earthier cocktails. Spiced has also been considered a sipping gin. Both London Dry Gins are bottled at 46%. Spiced won an amazing Gold at IWSC in 2023. With two strong gins under our belt which were loved by our customers who pushed us to take it to retail and highly commended by those in the know, Stag Gin has developed in to a growing gin brand!
