It emphasises the importance for strategies to be supported by education, outreach, and advocacy, as well as universal design and targeted work.  We agree and add that most importantly, it is the well-designed digital learning experience that is essential for organisations to maximise the impact of their disaster management strategies. #disaster #immersive education #social impact

What a day! How was yours? Mine was filled with occupational health reports and client meetings. During a recent workplace visit , a staff member mistook my role as an occupational therapist. While both professions provide valuable services, they differ in their approach. Occupational therapists focus on rehabilitation and home adjustments, while occupational health nurses help individuals return to work after serious illness or injury. It's important to understand the unique contributions of each profession to ensure we provide the best care possible for our clients. #OccupationalHealth #Healthcare #Rehabilitation

A new scoping review explored how occupational therapists working in mental health clinical care incorporate the natural environment and outdoor space in their practice. The included sources highlighted a range of reported interventions which were grouped into three categories; gardening/nature-based, physical activity and animal-assisted interventions. Our online registry verifies if an occupational therapist holds a current practice permit. It is a serious offence to practice occupational therapy without a current practice permit.
