Here’s to celebrating three decades of excellence and looking forward to even more great things together! 👱🏼♂️ Tell us a little about yourself! I grew up in northern Minnesota in Roseau. Home of the Rams and Polaris. I am the oldest of three I have a brother and sister. 🏍️ What's your favorite way to spend a day off? Hanging with Wendy and the kids Katy and Hayden. Going camping, motorcycle riding, and trying new brewery and winery’s. I also fly large RC aircraft of all sorts. ⛺ What is your favorite season and what do you like most about it? Summer as we do a lot of activities Wendy and I. 👷🏼 What is your current role, and what are your main responsibilities? I’m the Superintendent on site, where I oversee all aspects of our projects in the field. My role involves managing the day-to-day operations, coordinating with crews, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and keeping the project on track from start to finish. ✅ Are there any lessons you've learned in your construction journey that you'd like to share? Being open and upfront with customers. It’s most rewarding getting the positive feedback after a project. 💪🏼 Which of the core values of the company do you exemplify? Why? The core value I exemplify most is dedication. In my role as a superintendent, dedication means ensuring every project is done right, from start to finish, and that my team has the support and direction they need to succeed. I’m committed to not only meeting project goals but also upholding the high standards we’ve set at Comstock. Time flies when you’re busy! ⚙️List 3 qualities that make you great at your job. 1. Organized: key when juggling multiple projects simultaneously, 2. Passionate: I enjoy tackling the many tasks that come with the day-to-day, 3. Personable: I love meeting new people we get the pleasure to work with. ⚙️What’s your favorite project you’ve worked on so far? Each project is so unique, but if I had to choose one, it would be The Veil Brewing Co. in Scott’s Addition because I get to enjoy good beer while admiring our work. ⚙️What was your very first job? An umpire at Mechanicsville Little League making around $25/game (not too shabby for a 13-year-old kid!). ⚙️What are your hobbies outside of work? Playing golf, being around any body of water, and spending time with my wife and kids.

Given their scope and size, large construction projects can often seem like a daunting task when looking at everything that needs to be accomplished before turning the building over to the owner. One effective way to break down larger projects into more bite sized goals is Short Interval Production Scheduling, or SIPS. Our teams use SIPS on a number of projects to increase efficiency and improve trade partner scheduling. Currently, our team at Williamsburg Landing’s Anchor Cove expansion is using SIPS to complete construction on several terrace style homes.
