What does it mean for something to be a movement? ✅ A group of people who share the same beliefs, ideas, or aims. What does it take for a movement to happen? ✅ A purposeful, organized group of people striving to work toward a common goal or make a change. Studies show that all social movements start with a small group of passionate people, who deliver and celebrate small, yet powerful wins. These movements gain momentum when there is 1) a positive vision and 2) a clear path forward. ✅ Young Chefs Academy’s vision is to Make a Positive Impact on the Next Generation through our Mission of teaching The Joy and Value of Cooking. ✅ I would venture to say there is no clearer path forward than the #Franchise model, when you have the right people, with the right “why”, in place. The #YCA family is celebrating a #BigWin with the launch of our new logo and rebrand. We are SO MUCH MORE than teaching cooking. Today, our logo and rebrand embodies this vision that began almost 20 years ago. Can you feel it? The YCA movement is gaining steam💨 🙌🏻🧡🎉
🎉 It’s here! The moment we’ve been waiting for! 🎉 We are excited to share Young Chefs Academy’s fresh look! Beyond teaching kids to cook, YCA has ignited a movement of empowerment and inspiration, where the core values we’ve stood behind at every level of the organization remain an integral part of everything we do today. As our Founder and CEO, Julie Burleson said, “From inception, my vision for YCA was so much more than teaching kids the life skill of cooking. I knew we could make a lasting impact on children and families. It’s humbling to see this proven out over the past twenty years, by our students, owners, parents, and beyond. I can’t visit a YCA location without being brought to tears from the personal stories of how YCA has changed lives. Simply put, our brand has grown, the YCA movement is gaining speed ~ and it’s time for our logo and brand to embrace and reflect this. It’s a momentous day to be a part of YCA!”

On my way to judge a coffee competition, and I’m reminded of how vital community is in our industry. Competitions like these aren’t just about showcasing skills—they’re about bringing people together, sharing knowledge, and supporting each other’s growth. As someone who has competed, coached, judged, and trained judges, I’ve seen firsthand the impact of a strong, supportive community. The coffee community thrives on collaboration and mutual support. Events like this allow us to celebrate our craft, learn from one another, and push the boundaries of what we can achieve. It’s inspiring to see so many passionate individuals come together. Supporting these competitionsl is crucial, not just by joining to gain something, but by truly contributing to the industry. Year after year, we see people come and go, but those who understand the importance of giving back consistently put in the time and effort. The community needs more of these dedicated individuals. These competitions provide a platform for baristas and coffee professionals to shine, gain recognition, and drive innovation in the industry. It’s through these shared experiences that we strengthen our community and elevate the standards of our craft. #coffeecompetitions #contribute #payitforward

🍁 Grateful Post 🍁 Happy Thanksgiving, LinkedIn! 🎉 As we embrace this season of #gratitude, I'm reminded of the power of total wellness—a harmony of #physical, #psychological, #social, and #spiritual well-being. 💪🧠❤️ In that regard, I recognize that it’s easy to feel overwhelmed at times by how our thoughts, actions, and decisions shape our #health and #happiness. Nevertheless, I find comfort in knowing that my well-being is a journey, and not a destination. 🌱 And what I believe is key along anyone's well-being journey is having an amazing support system of #family, #friends, and an employer, CSAA Insurance Group, a AAA Insurer, who understand that our best selves start from within.🤝💕 "Sometimes the most important thing in a whole day is the rest we take between two deep breaths." – #EttyHillesum May your Thanksgiving be filled with #gratitude, and may you find calmness in a life lived with #thankfulness. 🍽️🙏 #Thanksgiving #Gratitude #WellnessJourney #SupportSystem #MindfulLiving #LearningAndDevelopment #ProfessionalDevelopment #GrowthMindset #GrowthAndDevelopment #Wellness #Benefits #Inspiration #CorporateLearning #CorporateTraining #Empowerment #TalentDevelopment #HealthAndWellness #EmployeeBenefits #WorkLifeBalance #HealthyLifestyle #MentalHealth #PhysicalHealth #WellnessAtWork #BenefitsPackage #HealthInsurance #Fitness #Nutrition #SelfCare #Mindfulness #HealthyEating #CorporateWellness #EmployeeWellbeing #HealthyWorkplace #WellnessPrograms #BenefitsAndPerks #HealthyHabits #WellnessTips
“Our well-being programs motivate me to get regular preventive care, and it rewards me financially for staying physically active. Because of our hybrid working environment, I can make time for exercise that works with my family’s schedule, and still show up to my daughter’s cheer practice, my son’s tee ball games, and have the flexibility needed to prepare healthy foods.” -- Tyler Bellamy, PhD, Learning Design & Delivery Specialist As we prepare to enter the holiday season, we hope you will take a moment to appreciate the good in your life and the people who help make each day special. Here at CSAA, we are grateful for our members and for our incredible team players like Tyler who make CSAA a truly meaningful community. ⚪️⚪️Awards ceremonies were always something I thought were for companies in proper business industries. When Deba Bardhan Correia nominated us for the Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes award for innovation I was a little reluctant. But knowing that getting Entire’s mission of saying “Yes to every child bar none” is our biggest driver attending the awards was important. (It was also being held next door to sweet treats, the best restaurant in Milton Keynes) 8 finalists, all from different industries and in a category I had assumed would be for technology it was amazing to be recognised in this way. Entire will change the way playwork is delivered for children with and without SEND over the next decade. An innovation award in an industry that seems stuck behind hundreds of barriers and excuses makes us more determined to be the change. Inclusive and fully inclusive are two very different terms. Building provision for SEND is not just providing for the needs you can visibly see. ⚪️⚪️It’s creating an environment for what you can’t see, and letting children choose which bits they need to access by giving them everything and letting them take as much or as little extra support as they want in each moment.⚪️⚪️ Create it to work for every child and make that the mainstream❗️ A child who doesn’t need it will glaze over the fact it’s in place. A child who does need it will feel it’s their for all so it’s not a change to access it.

What do you need to deliver an Industry-first Fair Culture Charter positively impacting 100% of an organisation's staff? Well, the first thing you is a partner who is willing to commit to long-term development, and PPWD have an outstanding partner in Southeastern Railway, who has done so. Safety and cultural evolution are proper Wicked Problems. Southeastern know this and have embraced this with their commitments to action and learning. And, when you achieve such progress in developing the Fair Culture Charter, you can achieve recognition for the hard work and commitment. Highly recommend this course as offering a great set of tools for navigating complexity in current public service and policy world.
We live in powerful times. A world of uncertainty, complexity and rapid change. A permanent rolling crisis at every level, showing up as much in our personal as in our professional lives. We are dancing at the edge. But there is hope. We all have it within us to rise to the occasion. IFF’s Competence in Complexity programme offers a supportive process for participants to develop their 21st century competencies together and demonstrate them in practice in effective, transformative, future-facing action. Each cohort is hosted in our online Atelier, a dedicated virtual space to connect, converse, share and access materials, resources and insights and to remain 'on campus' throughout in a dedicated community of practice. The heart of the programme is an intensive, three day in person workshop 11 – 13 September 2024, laying the foundations for the subsequent move into action.
