Are you looking for a way to positively impact your Community this Thanksgiving? You can do it by donating a discount you receive. On occasional Fridays, my family and I order pizza from Domino’s. So, if you are planning a Friday pizza dinner, you can use Domino’s Pizza code 1126 for a 20% discount on your order, like we did this past Friday. Just be sure to check for updated codes online. You might get lucky and find a greater percent off or buy one, get one free from Domino’s. We used the 20% discount, which turned out to be $15.20 in savings. We went to Walmart, our favorite local and hiking resupply spot, to buy non-perishable Thanksgiving day items recommended by Feeding America. Luckily, Walmart had their rollback price special on several of the items. We were fortunate to get two each of the six recommended nonperishable items. Non-perishable Thanksgiving Day food items: • Boxed stuffing • Instant mashed potatoes • Canned vegetables • Dry macaroni • Cranberry sauce • Canned Pumpkin This is not a sermon, just a thought on how to help others based on a lesson someone taught me. #FeedingAmerica #Walmart #Dominos

Fundraiser’s Dinner Etiquette Tip #3: Ordering with Care Ordering at a professional dinner is all about balance and respect. Here are some tips to help you navigate the menu with confidence: 🥩 Stick to modest menu choices – Avoid ordering the most expensive item, appetizers, or dessert unless your host encourages it. 🍸 Alcohol in moderation – Even if your host orders a drink, it’s best to avoid alcohol. But if you do indulge, keep it to one drink. 🍝 Choose easy-to-eat dishes – Avoid anything messy or difficult to handle (think spaghetti or French onion soup). You don’t want your food to be the star of the evening! 🛑 Wait until everyone is served – It’s polite to hold off until everyone has their plate—unless the person still waiting insists you start. 1️⃣ Let your host order first – Give your host the chance to set the tone for the meal by ordering first, unless they insist otherwise. Navigating these small moments with care shows respect for your host and helps keep the focus on building a great relationship. What would you add to this list? Onya Nagi! The RecipeTin cook is our current cover star, sharing her plans (and heaps of good food) for RecipeTin Meals, her food bank that donates over 100k meals each year to those in need. Nagi tells us it's her top priority, and she’d “drop everything” to deliver the free meals... “even if I had an interview with that Big Issue journo or whatever.” 😅😅 Hungry for more? Buy a copy from your local vendor for the whole story, plus Nagi's first-ever recipe for Sticky Pantry Chicken, plus thrifty recipes from our vendors and YouTube sensation HowToCookThat.
