Next time you think your product already has to be “fully built” before you launch, keep in mind this story of a robotics company that tested an entire product concept with very little code. 🤖 Today, we’re sharing a 60-second summary of the sprint process of Relay Robotics in validating ideas about their hotel robot butler—and how they got scrappy to test an entire robot prototype without relying on too much engineering resources. ⚡ 🏆 It’s a masterclass in building and validating an idea fast. 📌 How can you be scrappy in testing your idea in the market?

St. Andrew’s Robotics Team – which is both a class and a club – is in the midst of completing their robot to compete at the FIRST Tech Challenge this winter. Team members can now practice driving it on their recently constructed field. The theme of this year’s competition is "Into the Deep.” Teams score points by dropping samples into the buckets, placing specimens onto the chamber, and hanging on the low or high rung. Check out the video to see the robot in action!

Years in the making by Fredrik Gran https://lnkd.in/gb7rijxS Is ai based robotic musician self-learning the next step? Mimic human based musical instrument learning? By adding AI with sensors (audio, tactile, etc)?
Great team up between Dobot Robotics and Fredrik Gran for this Cello-playing application. Amazing how tech and the arts can come together to make beautiful things while still being guided by us. How is SVT Robotics helping customers overcome barriers? 🚀🚀🚀 1️⃣ Moving away from custom integrations, the SOFTBOT Platform derisks deployments with pre-built SOFTBOTS. Connectivity between systems is solved for. 2️⃣ The SOFTBOT Platform is built for change, making it easier to implement learnings rapidly. Operations can be improved quickly without the need for recommissioning the system. 3️⃣ The SOFTBOT Platform offers uniformed troubleshooting and transparency layer in real-time, minimizing downtime.

I am so excited to be attending this! I have been deep diving further into AI and working on my own custom NLP, trying to understand the in's and out's of how it works. I find that it is important to get connected in the tech world and learn from people in the industry. I may be on a job hunt but my passion for learning and growing my network of amazing minds will always come first. This will be my first AI meeting with many more scheduled this month. Don't mind me geeking out a bit! #AI #networking #softwareengineering #robotics
I’m headed out to the Bay Area today for meetings and to present Hackerbot at the HomeBrew Robotics Club tomorrow. This will be the first public demo of the robot and if you’re in the area I would love to see you there. It will also be streamed online. Details at: https://www.hbrobotics.org I also threw up a VERY rough web site at 1:30am last night. I’ll send out more info on what we’re up to over email so please sign up at: http://www.hackerbot.co

It is indeed time to rethink the way we build, deploy and monitor smart robots.
If you're working on robotics today what product/service would you like to see in the ecosystem? I'll go first: Aside from our work here at Model-Prime (I will recuse myself from plugging my company here). I think Guillaume Binet is doing God's work over at Copper Robotics by rethinking what a robotics OS can be from the ground up. Also, shout out to Eliot Horowitz and Jessica Radow at Viam for their work in this area, too. What would you love to see in the ecosystem? Vic Singh is probably watching this thread intently....
