A part of Sports Group Denmark's textile products is manufactured in Bangladesh, from where 15 of our colleagues work from our Dhaka office. Every day they work closely with our suppliers to ensure quality and good working conditions for the employees at the factories. However, sometimes the focus shifts: Recently, Bangladesh has been challenged in more ways, not least by massive flooding of large areas, which has affected more than 2 million people. Many were left without permanent homes, food, and medicine. The whole country rallied to help the affected areas and our colleagues in the Dhaka office all chose to donate a day's wages for their countrymen. This amount was doubled by Sports Group Denmark and the total amount gave the opportunity to help more than 200 people with medical care and medicine in a Medical Camp. Local medical students assisted with help and consultations, and medicine was distributed to those who needed it. In addition, money was donated to two local emergency relief funds.

Hi, I’m planning to return to Gaza next week. This week, I will buy medications, medical supplies, food, water, candy, toys, diapers, infant formula, slippers, and more to bring with us into Gaza. My goal is to raise enough money to do the following: 15 suitcases of supplies, this will cost at least $5000. Schedule and fund with our local partners to continue serving hot meals, organizing water tank distributions, and planning activities for children as well as give them more kites, toys, etc. To do it a few times a week, $1500 total for 3x a week. Please donate whatever you can to help us. Spread the word. Don’t just watch and feel sorry—there are groups of us who can go there and alleviate some of their burden. You can also make a pledge to something specific like $100 for medications, $100 for diapers, $20 for slippers, $5 for candy to give to children. $300 to provide hot meals. If you cannot donate, you can use your voice to share what we are doing and encourage others to help. You can do this on social media, with your friends in person, host fundraising events, make your own GoFundMe, etc. Never feel powerless and please don’t turn a blind eye. The suffering in Gaza is immense and heart breaking. Help Me Live USA #Gaza https://gofund.me/35b6ef13

Today marks 300 days of devastating conflict in Gaza. Tens of thousands have lost their lives, hundreds of thousands are injured and countless more are suffering without basic necessities like clean water, food, and medical care. The survivors' resilience is inspiring, but the need for help is urgent. IMANA has been actively supporting Gaza with crucial aid: A 4-member team assisted with emergency procedures, surgeries, and primary care at the European Gaza Hospital during a 10-day deployment. We also shipped 31 tons of life-saving medications and supplies, transported 41 tons of flour and distributed 53 tons of food items during Ramadan. We are currently procuring another consignment of medications for Gaza. How You Can Help: - Donate: Your contributions can save lives www.imana.org/donate - Raise Awareness: Share this post and spread the word. - Advocate: Support policies promoting peace and aid for Gaza. Together, we can bring hope and healing to Gaza. Stand with us and make a difference. #IMANAcares #AidGaza #Gaza #BringHope #hope

Multiple charities and INGOs have been raising funds for Gaza. Millions have been raised. Yet, none of them explains exactly how their aid is entering Gaza. How are people still starving with millions and millions donated? If you’d like to help, donate to organisations that are supporting Palestinians outside of Gaza. Or donate to Sudan, DRC, Yemen, Afghanistan, Tigray, or any region where aid can be delivered. Save your Gaza money for when aid can be moved freely. There’s no way of rebuilding Gaza right now. Do your research before donating and look for organisations that provide reports and full transparency on their work.

www.gaza.online/donate Please share these posts across your network, and donate if you can. Throughout this war, communication infrastructure has been constantly destroyed leaving Palestinians inside and outside of Gaza with little way to contact love ones and know if they are OK. Today, there is almost no internet or phone connectivity from local providers I have been a small part of this initiative which aims to help this, by purchasing and providing e-sims to people in Gaza, using networks from nearby countries which overlap into Gaza. So far, we have shared over 10'000 e-sims into Gaza, and requests are only increasing, with now upwards of 200 request a day. There is not much we can do for Gaza, but every small action builds towards something. Please donate either an e-sim or cash (which will only be used for purchasing e-sims) and please share this post among your networks.
www.gaza.online/donate We are now receiving almost ~200 daily requests from Gazans for eSIMs that work on the Egyptian and Israeli networks that spillover into Gaza. Israel has tried blocking new roaming activations by various eSIM providers, and the Israeli military has told the UN that using eSIMs is “not approved.” As access becomes more limited, the number of requests we are receiving is now exceeding the rate at which we are replenishing our stock of eSIMs. In fact, yesterday we started running a cash deficit by purchasing eSIMs on credit to satisfy some of the request volumes we are receiving. Gaza.Online volunteers have shipped over 10,000 eSIMS across the Gaza Strip, helping keep families connected to the outside world and to vital information during this brutal period. This war has shown us clearly that access to communication should be a fundamental human right, and is even a prerequisite often to ensuring other rights to water, food, medical care, and safe passage–a theme we spoke to NPR about last month (https://lnkd.in/eDv7FX46) For those in a position to support, we would greatly appreciate your donations of either eSIMS or cash (which we use to directly buy eSIMs). https://lnkd.in/emXZghGV

Just like the persistence of Japanese Knotweed (Reynoutria japonica) we as activists must be persistent in speaking up for peace and justice around the world. One of the main forms of peaceful protest that you can get behind, in order to raise awareness and funds for the people of Gaza, is the Hunger for Justice Gaza Campaign. The Hunger for Justice Gaza Campaign is a rolling 24 hour fast which first took place on the 15th of April 2024. This rolling fast involves a different volunteer faster every day, creating a continuous chain of fasting, aimed at highlighting the lack of food and water being allowed to enter Gaza (restricted by occupying forces). If you'd like to be a volunteer faster for The Hunger for Justice Gaza Campaign, click this Google form link: https://lnkd.in/eRevh74F The project also aims to raise funds for charities such as UNRWA, who provide food and aid on the ground in Gaza https://lnkd.in/eGiyUP8d #hungerforjustice #hungerforjusticegaza
