There are 125 international NBA players, with 60 coming from Europe alone. France, in particular, has become the third-largest pathway to the NBA after Canada and the U.S. That’s understandably driving strategy on which territories the NBA are present in. Sharon Fuller Associate Vice President, Head of Content & Social EME at the NBA, highlighted the importance of cultural nuance, explaining that every market needs a different cultural approach, which determines the fan engagement and commercial strategy. Similarly, Octavi Anoro , La Liga’s International Development Director, shared La Liga’s tailored approach: • 35 unique yearly business plans, customized for the specific needs of each country they focus on • Local content in local languages to connect with fans authentically. • Grassroots soccer schools across these territories, hoping that a child’s first footballing experiences are under the La Liga banner. We are thrilled to present the summary of the first stage of the summer BeActive Challenge: 👥 Total Active Users: 133 (a powerful team making strides together!) 🚶 Distance on Foot: 5013 km (equivalent to walking from Krakow to Lisbon and back!) 🚴 Distance on Wheels: 7863 km (more than a Kraków to Bangkok trip!) 🏃 Longest Run/Walk: 56 km 🚵 Longest Ride: 130 km (as if you ride from Poland to Romania in a straight line!) 🚶♂️ Total Steps: 21 million 🎉 Most Active Day: June 20th (what was happening on June 20th?
