Cookulon: Your Meal Time AI Assistant : https://lnkd.in/gvDK_QFE This has been a fantastic project to make and I've really enjoyed working with Blazor. I previously built a backend for an application using a C# server connecting to a React Frontend, but having the whole codebase in C# and being able to communicate between folders using Razor syntax makes the development process a lot smoother. The more I use AI, the more I am blown away by the potential, not just of the AI but of people to create whatever they want, and at record speed. There is going to be a new frontier on what is possible, and it's exciting. As an extra feature, I generated a List of robot kitchen's that are randomly selected to display on the loading screen so you can see them preparing your food while you wait. Meet Gustave - a smart kitchen companion I've developed that makes sure all your dishes come together at just the right time (particularly handy for that Christmas dinner timing nightmare! 🦃 🎄 ). Background: I've had the idea for this little utility App for a while but hadn't found an App developer with time on their hands.. With the advent of models like o1, I thought this was a good opportunity to test the capabilities of AI myself - I've been incredibly impressed. I used Mozilla's soloist.ai product to build my husband's new catering biz website yesterday. It was good. It's not for professional folks, but it's for everyone in our lives that has a small or sole-trader biz and just needs something slightly more professional than a Facebook Business page. I highly recommend it: + the responsiveness isn't janky + it's FREE, like, completely FREE (not even freemium) + it's basic but that's good because no rabbit holes to go down + it took about four hours total, including photo editing + it connects to your custom domain and handles SSL + their support is a friendly person via email + I did the logo in Canva (using only minimal AI to get a unique flame shape then editing) You know what? It'll do. The effort and output seem well-matched to James's biz lifestage. I like Mozilla. I always have. And I appreciate their approach to AI. Wonder what the world of Genshin Impact tastes like? Well, tbh probably not like McDonalds but, starting next week, you can try for yourself, in French... 🍖 GASTRONOGEEK SAS, has partnered with Mana Books & HoYoverse to debut the "Official Genshin Impact Cookbook" — on French shelves October 3rd. The French creator, Thibaud Villanova, has written a half dozen of "geeky" cookbooks ranging from the Unofficial Studio Ghibli cookbook to a general anime-themed collection, so crafting dishes based on the world of Teyvat isn't a stretch. There's already dozens of official and unofficial video game themed cookbooks on the market (perfect gift ideas imo). Titles from Minecraft to Halo to the Elder Scrolls to Pokemon, to World of Warcraft. What I see as special about this addition is the relationship that HoYoverse has had with licensing its IP and creators across its title's marketing making this collab a unique transmedia approach, even if it is a one-off. I wouldn't be surprised if we see a wave of Genshin Impact-themed cooking streams powered by this cookbook (and AI translation) this spooky season. Outside of cookbooks and DIY content — many brands & restaurants have played with bringing video game flavors into our mouths over the years. 🥸 Minecraft Suspicious Stew & TNT flavors + Halo Moa Burger flavor Pringles. 🥤GameFlavor offering the taste of Resident Evil's First Aid Kit. Ballantine's Borderlands Moxxi's Bar Special Edition. Dozens of craft breweries with gaming inspired beers. I found it difficult to create a shopping list and effectively use fresh ingredients, especially with my limited cooking skills. 🤭 I wish I had this app back then, but now I'm glad that I developed it myself using AWS PartyRock's no-code playground. While AI's responses may not be flawless, I believe this app can make meal planning more enjoyable and efficient.
