When people talk about use cases, they often focus on the obvious. But I’ve found an example where the problem and the solution come together perfectly for customers. Consider taxi drivers working for smaller meet-and-greet companies across Europe or the UK. They arrive at the airport, send a text to the customer, then follow up with a call. - The issue? International communication is costly, and the tourist might not have internet access to receive a call or message on WhatsApp. Local SIMs generally only cover domestic calls, so drivers end up having to pay a fair amount for international texts and calls. - The solution is Yolla Calls. With this app, drivers can purchase minutes and SMS at a fraction of the cost, addressing this very challenge without spending a fortune. It’s incredibly satisfying to work on a product that provides such a practical solution to everyday issues, especially when you can see firsthand how it genuinely helps people in real situations.
