For day six of our #SECAmbChristmasGifts campaign, we spoke to paramedic, Elliot, who moved to the UK from New Zealand a couple of years ago. Typically working 12-hour shifts, Elliot will book on at Tangmere Make Ready Centre before responding to patients across our West Sussex operational area.🌍 While the majority of our paramedics join us having completed a three-year university degree programme in Paramedic Science, we now offer an apprentice programme. The programme, delivered in partnership with the University of Cumbria, sees colleagues complete their paramedic education over a two-year period as an apprentice while working for SECAmb.🚑 Thank you to all our frontline teams.🙏 From our newest emergency care support workers to our specialist paramedics, everyone plays a vital role responding to the varied needs of our patients.❤️

LivCor – solutions to save lives IT IS WORLD FIRST AID DAY For many years I have said that one of the best feelings in life, is knowing that you have saved a life. You can’t buy that feeling, you can only earn it. Our family owned and operated business is proud of our many achievements that have helped make learning easier for our customers. Some of these achievements include Australian and world-first systems and techniques, including playing a crucial part in the innovation of the world’s first ‘Personal Access’ defibrillator (AED) named CellAED®. These lifesaving technologies have made a significant impact. As a former MICA Paramedic and Flight Paramedic who witnessed far too many lives that could have been saved, because people simply didn’t have access to the resources they needed, finding ways to help overcome this tragic issue has been an obsession when I became a paramedic over 40 years ago. Please trust me when I say, you will never know when you might need simple lifesaving skills and products. Only a lucky few escape such incidents during their life. If you would like to know how you and/or your team can access leading training, training resources, emergency learner guides or partnerships, we are here to help. www.livcor.com.au #workplacefirstaid #firstaidtraining #HSEmanagers #clinicaleducators #firstaidbooks #governmentadministration #CPRmanikins #emergencylearnerguides

🎉 5 Years of LHL First Aid! 🎉 Five years ago, we took a bold step into the unknown and founded LHL First Aid, a decision that has been both challenging and incredibly rewarding for everyone involved. Our mission to save lives by distributing as many defibrillators as possible, increasing first aid knowledge, and delivering high-quality equipment from some of the world’s best suppliers has been a journey full of personal and professional milestones. Here are some reflections: Growth and development: It's been a journey of learning. We’ve grown from a small startup to moving towards becoming a leading provider of first aid in Norway. Each year, we’ve seen incredible sales growth, approaching 25-30% annually due to our strong LHL brand. Our team has developed and now consists of dedicated professionals who share a common passion for saving lives and improving the well-being of others. Challenges and triumphs: No entrepreneurial journey comes without its hurdles. The past few years have tested us in many ways, from unforeseen events to the pandemic’s impact on sales, procurement, and logistics. Yet, we’ve always found new solutions and emerged stronger. Social responsibility: Being part of the LHL patient organization makes our work especially meaningful. We combine business goals with an important social mission, and it feels good to know that we’re contributing to something bigger than ourselves. Looking ahead: While we’ve achieved a lot, we’re far from done. In the next five years, we’ll continue to strengthen our position, expand our services, and reach even more people with life-saving products and knowledge. We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all our customers, partners, our amazing LHL team, and suppliers for being part of this journey. It’s in LHL's DNA to take social responsibility, and together with you, we will continue to do just that in the years to come 💜 With gratitude and excitement for the future, The LHL First Aid Team - Terese, Amund, Eivind, Even, Joacim and John Olav #LHLFirstAid #FiveYears #EntrepreneurshipJourney #FirstAid #AED #LifeSaving #LHL #80YearsStrong #TogetherWeSaveLives #Grateful

Did you know… Confederation College students in their final semester of the paramedic program get to partake in ride-alongs! Students are paired up with a full-time crew, called preceptors. It’s an opportunity for the students to learn how to apply the skills they’ve learned in real life, attending to patient care with the guidance of on-duty paramedics. Ride-alongs also serve another purpose – they can help students determine whether the paramedic life is the right fit. If you’re interested in becoming a paramedic, know that you’ll receive plenty of hands-on training to make sure you feel confident on the job! #YouBelongintheSuperiorNorth #paramediclife
