Doing density well can create quality by providing a resident population that supports local businesses and thus local amenity and sustainable transport. It can be built at a scale that supports structural timber and simpler building infrastructure. The resident population can facilitate community and a manageable OC scale for economic efficiency and effective decision making. Can balance built form and green space / pleasant public realm experiences. And reduce urban sprawling without creating vertical sprawl, to ensure existing residents quality of life is not compromised, in fact it is improved.
