I had a very pleasent experience with the people at Bitnami. We are using their helm charts at work. There was an issue with one of the charts and already a github issue present. So I decided to give it a try and propose a pull-request for it. Today it was accepted, which make me happy. What makes me greatful is the help official Bitnami members gave during the review and also the help the community gave in pointing me into the right direction. Even if my first try was way to simplistic, I was pointed to a solution rather politely. After this experience, I would recommend everyone to contribute to open-source projects. And for all people doing reviews and taking part in disucssions: Have patience. On a side note: This is a very stark contrast to an experience I made in the early 2000s with a different project. There I proposed a solution for an issue and was scolded for not sending in a patch and/or supply the package. That experince burnt a long time.

They've been a constant source of guidance and encouragement, always ready to collaborate and share their expertise. A special, heartfelt thanks to Sathesh Narayanan, whose mentorship and unwavering support have been instrumental in my growth. Without his guidance, I wouldn’t be where I am today. I’m truly grateful for everything they’ve done to help me succeed. Lastly, a big thank you to our manager, Shantam Sood, for their leadership and encouragement, which has made the journey even more rewarding. 🚀 Reflecting on My Experience at CodeBurst during Ebullience'24 🚀 Participating in CodeBurst on the first day of Ebullience'24 at Noida Institute of Engineering and Technology was an exhilarating experience filled with challenges and valuable lessons. While I didn't emerge victorious, the journey itself taught me more than I could have imagined. CodeBurst pushed me out of my comfort zone and tested my problem-solving skills in real-time. From deciphering complex algorithms to debugging intricate code, every moment was a learning opportunity. Despite not achieving the desired outcome, I am immensely grateful for the chance to participate and grow. This experience reinforced the importance of resilience and perseverance in the face of setbacks. It reminded me that failure is not the end but rather a stepping stone towards success. Each error was a lesson learned, and each obstacle was a chance to improve. Moreover, CODEBURST provided a platform for networking and collaboration with fellow participants.
