Lesson learned in newsletter world: always have a little treat when you ask someone to fill out a survey. I sent out my mid-year survey in July and got a small amount of responses. I just sent it again with the incentive of entering to win a gift card and have already seen an increase in responses. People like little treats and giveaways!
