Investors who take time to understand our business model ask me why any prospective company would not jump on the opportunity to use the OneRange platform. Here's a quick explanation of what investors understand after they dig into our model: We designed our software to be frictionless, deliver high-quality upskilling resources to every user, and provide data to enable the company and people to grow like never before. Our fantastic product team brings this to life every day, which is a huge reason why our utilization numbers are sky-high - this enables us to build the first pay-per-use model in the corporate learning industry. The product and business model are based on efficiently investing in workforces, so dollars go further, and people are more productive and enabled with the skills they need to succeed. After tons of demos and calls through market shifts over the past two years, I realized that there are only two reasons organizations say "no thanks": 1. The company is not looking to invest in its people. Leaders will acknowledge the need for upskilling but can't make long-term investments. I get told this directly. It's not something leaders want employees to hear, but it's a reality, and I appreciate leaders being direct with me. That's okay. Many companies (especially those in the technology industry) invested heavily in recruiting/retaining during a bull market and need time to recalibrate. The last thing you want is to invest in your people if you believe you'll have to pull it back at some point. 2. We haven't explained the product/business model/vision well enough. Our innovations in the space are substantial and vastly different than what people leaders are used to. That's by design, but given that the model isn't mainstream yet, it takes clearer communication to get the idea across. The challenge is always to get the vision across clearly in the shortest amount of time. Investors spend more time understanding the business model; it's their profession. Customers and people leaders have less time and have a wider variety of priorities to grapple with daily, so it's inherently more challenging. #upskilling #futureofwork #learninganddevelopment
