Task Selection: To enhance engagement on my skincare Facebook page, Menorah's Beauty Store, I set a goal to increase interactions and interest from followers within 24 hours. 2. Solution Application: Using data insights from previous posts, I identified the types of content that generated the most engagement (likes, comments, and shares). I noted that followers responded well to interactive content, like skincare polls and quick tips. I then created a poll asking, “What’s your #1 skincare concern this season?” with options such as "Dryness," "Oily skin," "Acne," and "Anti-aging." Alongside the poll, I posted a short, informative video on how to address common skincare issues with products from Menorah’s Beauty Store. 3. Tracking Impact: To measure the impact, I tracked the poll responses, comments, and overall engagement on the post over 24 hours. I saw a 35% increase in engagement, with more followers voting and commenting on their skincare concerns, leading to a meaningful interaction thread. 4. Reflection: This challenge highlighted how data-driven content strategies can quickly boost social media engagement. By leveraging insights on follower preferences, I crafted a post that not only attracted more attention but also opened a conversation around skincare needs. The immediate increase in engagement reinforced the importance of understanding audience interests and creating interactive content. We struggled with a skincare brand for 45 days Tried a lot to find the right product-messaging fit, but alas failed Then we connected the word “makeup” as a message to their current line of products, after 90+ days it is still the best-performing creative Great Messaging is governed by the good insight of your audience, an insight which most people never see, but is there which drives the complete audience group to act on a thing So, let's look at 2 fundamental messaging we recurringly use 1/ Existing belief First, find what is the existing beliefs of your target market Now, challenge that belief, rarely any brand will be doing it, just because others (aka competitors) never know the belief is present As in the example above of the skincare brand, we used without messaging, understood women use makeup and we wrote Get X without Y as the concept for ad See, we flipped, and challenged, it's conflicting but conflict is what spreads like fire Don't confuse conflict with clickbait two are different 2/ Call-out competitors/archaic brands Ask questions that highlight the disadvantages of your competitors Find fatal flaws in the top 3 competitors in your industry, now channel all messaging around pointing their fingers on how they are feeding wrong information and what is the right information This way you will stand out and get the attention of the customer This is mostly done by challenger brands Messaging dominates both design and copy #ads #marketing #ecommerce
