POV you’re hiring a DTC creative strategist in 2024 🤣 This actually got me thinking that in creative roles, we often focus on technical skills. But what about the less tangible qualities? A strong point of view, a clear understanding of what is performing in the industry, and the ability to creatively construct ads that resonate with consumers - these are sometimes even more valuable than certain technical skills. It's important to take into account how people think and communicate, rather than just their knowledge of specific tools or techniques. I'm curious about others' experiences. When hiring creatives, do you prioritize raw talent and instincts, or polished technical skills? What qualities do you find most important?

You don't need a social media manager. There, I said it. You need a social media team. Here are some roles you need to hire for: 1️⃣ Head of Social 2️⃣ Content Creator 3️⃣ Content Curator 4️⃣ Community Manager 5️⃣ Paid Social Manager / Advertiser 6️⃣ Social Media Analyst 7️⃣ Graphic Designer 8️⃣ Video Editor 9️⃣ Influencer Manager That's the minimum. If you really want to step up your game, you'd have multiple roles dedicated to specific platforms under the Head of Social position. You can't expect one person to do it all. And you can't afford to ignore social media any further. It's a powerful marketing tool that is greatly underutilized, under resourced, and often disrespected. Invest in your team. I am looking for a great PR person or agency for an innovative music tech product (no, not AI based) for the German speaking regions. Somebody who is not just sending emails to their network, but actually pitching and working the project. Ideally somebody who can cover all sorts of media, not a specialist for a segment of media.
