Women's sports have come a long way over the years. Evolving from being insignificant and overlooked to becoming a thriving industry with many role models and influential athletes being ‘household names’. There is still more we can do in helping to reshape the social attitudes towards gender inequality in sports. Challenges for women in the industry are still rife. In recent years we have seen more headlines around the topic of “The first women to..”. However female athletes continue to demonstrate strength, resilience and determination, helping to inspire the next generation. Here's to us 💗

We need more women representing sport, in all categories. When girls see female athletes overcoming adversity and challenging stereotypes in sports, they are also more likely to believe in their own potential and abilities, and their fundamental right to be equal everywhere. Minority women in sports are making a big impact all over the world. They are proving that they can compete at the highest leveland that they are deserving of recognition and respect. As more and more minority women enter the world of sports, they will continue to make their mark and inspire others to do the same. #womensupportingwomen #womenempowerment #womeninbusiness #womeninsport #represent #power #suport Suported by Rose Bruno Rosangela Camarano Ana Lameiras Regina Marques Regina Tayar-Watson Samanta Bullock Livia Melo Vanda Maeda Marli Mazon 🇬🇧🇧🇷🇨🇮 Marli Píres Edegelson Ricci Brazil Development Youth Romualdo Marcilio Dirlei Barbieri Rofner

Are we playing fair ? Breaking down barriers for Women in Sports 💪 I recently had the privilege of hearing from inspirational women like Brigitte Henriques, the first female President of CNOSF and Vice President of FFF, and Catherine MOYON DE BAECQUE, President of the Commission for the Fight against Sexual Violence and Discrimination of CNOSF. The round table discussion focused on crucial topics of diversity and inclusion in sports competitions, particularly highlighting the challenges faced by women. Their experiences and insights were truly inspiring, shedding light on the barriers women continue to face globally. While progress has been made, there's still much to do to achieve full gender parity. Nonetheless, it's heartening to witness gradual changes. Every step forward, no matter how small, contributes to a more inclusive and equitable future. 💪 Let's keep advocating for diversity, breaking down barriers, and empowering women in sports and beyond. Together, we can create a more inclusive world where everyone has the opportunity to succeed. 🌍 Special thanks to Karoline Strauss and Junko Takagi for leading this conversation, and to the ESSEC Sports Chair and the ESSEC Leadership and Diversity Chair for giving us the opportunity to meet such inspiring people. 🙌 #BreakingBarriers #WomenInSports #DiversityAndInclusion

ADDITIONAL LENGTHS X MIDDLESBROUGH F.C. WOMEN ⚽ Our ground-breaking collaboration with Middlesbrough F.C. Women champions women in sport who break the mould and shatter stereotypes, inspiring the next generation of girls in sport. Marketing Director, Carrie Tyler adds, “We all want to see female role models in sport and are disheartened to see the high stats of young women and girls dropping out of sport due to a lack of self-confidence. As a North-East business, partnering with Middlesbrough F.C. Women is a natural fit for us. These women, like so many others, go to additional lengths to progress their careers. We aim to drive awareness of these players as inspiration for a generation that still finds it challenging to see relatable figures in sports.” Together, we are refusing for women and girls to be sidelined. #MiddlesbroughWomensFootballClub #MFC #collaboration #partnership #womeninsport #womeninfootball #additionallengths #remicachet

"Thanks to all the great players like Sheryl Swoopes, Lisa Leslie, Cynthia Cooper, the great Dawn Staley, and my basketball hero, Maya Moore. These are the women who kicked down the door so I can walk inside." - Caitlin Clark As a fellow Iowan, I am incredibly proud to see Caitlin Clark making waves in the WNBA. Reflecting on her words, it's clear how the paths carved by pioneers in women’s sports have led to monumental changes not just on the courts but in every arena of life. After over 50 years since the passage of Title IX, a landmark piece of Civil Rights legislation, we've seen a dramatic expansion in opportunities for women. This law knocked down barriers and opened doors to dreams once considered out of reach, leading to a twelve-fold increase in sports participation by girls and nearly tripling the number of women participating in college athletics. These strides paved the way for the creation of the WNBA and other professional women's leagues, transforming the landscape of sports and society. Decades later, we continue to reap the benefits of such opportunities, recognizing that there is still more change needed, more barriers to break, and more dreams to chase. At Fantastic Humans, we celebrate every individual who pushes the boundaries, who fights for equality, and who inspires the next generation to reach even further. Let’s continue to support and uplift the trailblazers who show us that with opportunity, anything is possible. 👉 Follow us to celebrate stories of empowerment and transformation. 👉 Share this to inspire your network to support and advocate for continued progress in women's sports and beyond. #wnba #caitlinclark #titleIX #fantastichumans #womeninsportsports #changemakers #equality

What’s a real power play? Championing women in sports. 🏅 Simoné Kruger and Nqobile Khwezi sat down to chat about the power of support, from the stands to sponsorships. When more people rally behind women in sports, it opens doors to bigger opportunities, more resources and a platform for them to shine. These partnerships go beyond funding – they’re a belief in the potential of women athletes. 💪 Empowering women in sports doesn’t just stop on the field; it’s a ripple effect that inspires the next generation of athletes. And we’re just #OneMoreFan in their corner, cheering them on every step of the way. #SheOwnsHerSuccess

When does competition start with women? And what is healthy and what isn't? For many Gen X women it began in primary school and we carried it into our careers. We thought there were certain traits that were less desirable in women and we labelled women as aggressive or 'bitchy' if they tried to stick their necks out. Competition can of course be healthy if it provides you with the impetus to do something new or to push yourself to be better. As a mum to two young female footballers and a staunch supporter of equality, diversity and inclusion throughout my professional and personal life, I cannot hide my shock at the decision of Thornaby FC to disband their entire women's section. I don't often get on my soapbox but I can't believe this is happening in 2024! Football, much like any industry, thrives on diversity and inclusiveness. It's disheartening to see decisions that set us back when we should be moving forward. Over the years, I've witnessed first-hand the astounding benefits diverse teams bring to any sector. With these 100 players now left without a club, we're not just depriving them of a team—we're withholding inspiration from young girls everywhere. The message this decision sends to young female footballers is that their male peers are somehow more important or more valuable to the club, and that's just unacceptable. However, amidst the disappointment, I draw optimism from the news of the sporting world rallying around the women at the club and board members stepping down. This reshuffle offers a glimmer of hope, suggesting that perhaps from the backlash, a more balanced and equitable future for the club can emerge. #EqualityInSport #DiversityandInclusion #Headhunting
