Masters Union, by fostering creativity and entrepreneurship, is helping to shape the future of business. The deep understanding and eye-opening concepts displayed by these students leave no doubt that many will become successful entrepreneurs. We're already seeing this with inspiring examples like HiveSchool and @seedai, whose innovative ventures showcase the power of nurturing environments. As a student in EDHEC Business School one of the books that was recommended to us in our MSc Entrepreneurship & Innovation program was Peter Thiel's book, Zero to One. And I believe almost all major Business School's have this book in its recommended reading list. I just think that Business School's should add the essay: The Straussian moment by the same, Peter Thiel, along with Zero to One in their recommendation for their students and here's why. in a nutshell, Zero to One advices young entrepreneurs to follow these three steps. 1. Be a contrarian: Find a truth that everyone else believes is alie 2. Competition is for Losers: Find your market, which can be a niche market and then aim form becoming Monopoly in that market 3. Take the Last Movers advantage: Take the lessons from the early birds in your industry and build a better product. Now the second and the third steps can be learnt either in a business school theoretically or by being a real entrepreneur practically. But the first step is more of a philosophical journey. How can you find a truth that everyone else believes is a lie? That's where you need to read the essay The Straussian Moment. Peter Thiel has given the answer. Quite surprisingly, Thiel wrote the essay a decade before writing his book, Zero to One.

🎤 Today, we were delighted to host Daniel Hjorth, the Lindén Professor of Aesthetics and Business Creativity at Lund University School of Economics and Management, for a research seminar on "The Organizational Conditions for Creativity, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation." 🌟 Drawing from his co-authored publication, "Stuck in the Playground: A (Failed) Organizational Entrepreneuring Process", Daniel discussed the value of a processual perspective on entrepreneurship to foster creativity and drive change within mature organizations. He emphasized how affect and emotions infuse each phase of the entrepreneurial process, underscoring their importance in understanding and navigating the complexities of organizational innovation. 💬 The Q&A centred on the dynamics of consultant-led vs grassroots initiatives within organizations, the role of learning and entrepreneurial identity in leading change, and the importance of fostering an entrepreneurial mindset across all levels of an organization. 🙌 A big thank you to Daniel for this exploration of the emotional and dynamic nature of entrepreneurship.
